Thanks for your great reaction! Both of them were so full with emotions that their voices got a bit 'lost'. The rest of their own shows their voices sounded great, as always. But anyways, this song wasn't about hitting high notes. The fact that they did this again after 18 years shows that everything is possible. Sooooo nice!!! 😃🤗😆

Hyvin vedetty, fine Finnish. Seems i need to follow what Marko does more closely, have missed this one.

Marko and Floor made magic as well in my opinion. But it was really nice to see them together, even if the voices was not the best as they probably was really nervous.

It's less professional almost 'sloppy'at times , I dunno, but I'm missing 'the magic'. But, great to see they have fun together .

I love Marco en Tarja but this version was really bad, the band was not good, and i think both Marco and Tarja sounded off. Sorry but this was not good

Tarja was sick and this wasn't planned.
They have a gig at a castle so I'm sure it will be rehearsed for that gig.

On Magenta Music website there's Tarja's Wacken set from last year.
She gets emotional about returning to Wacken after a lot of years.
Dead Promises is now my favourite Tarja song because of that Wacken set.

If you haven’t heard anything from Tarja's solo career nor seen any live performances from her solo career, you definitely should do that😊 especially from her later albums, In the Raw and Shadow Self. You can hear better how much her voice has grown and she actually uses a lot of chest voice compared to when she sang in Nightwish. Like you said, you could hear those elements in this performance.
And I agree, that switching with those tones that Tarja does, does make her quite unique.

This was last minute and totally raw plus shot on a phone, of course it isn't perfect but it is full of emotion and I LOVE it!!!!!

Their voices truly are magical together. It's so good to see them perform together again, and so obviously having fun with it too. I know they already reunited once five years ago for a Christmas concert but this particular song brings back so many memories as they get to sing once again together their "strange duet".

I was there, it was a small stage here in switzerland and I think that contributed quite something to the air of fun and enjoyment they had together. But yes we were all kinda dying out there.
Tarja is actually my favourite artist to see life because she always had so much fun, you can just see how much she loves being on stage. She seems so natural and expressive!

I didn't like it. Can't stand Tarja's horrible accent when she sings live. And once you hear the quacking, you can not unhear it. :) No breath control at all and WTF was that last note?

Thanks for this (as always) very good analysis ! I can't agree more when you explained how well they voices blend and also I love how accurate you are when you talk about Tarja's voice ! Yes she has a classical background but she is not stuck on that and she built her own sound. I think she is one of these singer which really can afford classical singing but she feels free to change her sound if the music needs it and that's also why her voice is so spécial and unique 🔥

You suggested it so here it is. I would love to see you react to Against Myself 's version of Phantom of the Opera. I don't know if there is a video for it though. You'd have to look into it.
