its a cheap scotch. Does the job XD
ОтветитьIf you watch Ralphy's review for QM - it scores higher than Blue Label  up to me - this is the worst whisky I've ever tried
Ответитьgets you drunk, all that matters
ОтветитьThe 'finish' worked a treat for me, I slept like a log.
Ответить5 years old version used to be considerably better for very little extra money, but seems like that one was replaced with Glen Orchy 5yo. At least around here.
ОтветитьI really disliked this one! Maybe its just me! If you like this, cheers! THATS THE POINT!
Because i really disliked it, i made an amareto sour of this and go well....cheers ppl !
In my country Greece Lidl sells this for 12.5 euro....but i can find Passport Scoth around 13.5 and is WAY BETTER
There are actualy more flavours here, if you would really give this some time and honest analysis- you get sweet vanilla, barley sugar, sultanas, lemon, really there's not much of the harsh alcohol smell. On the taste, barley sugar, lemon, a bit of bitterness. My mark would definitely be chose to 80, compared with RLJW, Ballantines or Teachers, this is fairly above those bottlings.
ОтветитьThis stuff is pish. The 8 year old is 1000% better, and for about £2.00 more.
ОтветитьHarsh whiskey for people who live harsher lives :D.For some this is nearly as good as they can afford.
ОтветитьI agree with Ralfy that this is way better quality than many £20 range whiskeys like Famous Grouse or Bells, but at almost half the price. You said you weren't going to be prejudiced but this whole review is dripping in prejudice that I think blinded you to the decent quality of the product.
ОтветитьBut you have a new sub BTW even if I don't necessarily agree on this one 😆 👍
ОтветитьI got a bottle the other day and honestly I like it, yeah it's not great but at less than 11 quid it's not gonna be, I loved my ardbeg arrrrrrbeg but would I have said it was 14 times better than this, no way, for the money I'm impressed, it's definitely a keeper for giving to my guests, ive wasted far too much quality stuff to non whisky drinkers lol but it definitely has its place
Have you tried the 8 or the newer 41% smoky one I'm interested to see what those are like 👍
Despite watching this video and your comments I still went out and bought this whisky, mainly because of favourable reviews from the legendary Ralfy and one or two others (albeit these reviews were a couple of years old). I even went for the 1-litre version at £4 extra cost!
After smelling and tasting it, I really can't disagree with anything that you said about it! Having said that though, the whisky is not a total dead loss.
It was perfectly reasonable in a Rusty Nail (two, even three parts to one part Drambuie, with the liqueur thankfully overpowering the whisky). Also, despite the mild flavour it was just about discernable as a whisky in a Scotch & Coke.
I even tried the Ralfy trick of adding a couple of drops of single malt (Laphroaig in this case), and even some rum. In each case these modifications made it much more drinkable!
Wow, thats not good. I take it if that was the only whisky available u wouldnt bother, lets hope the other one is at paletable.
ОтветитьJohnnie Walker, I mean...
ОтветитьConsidering the usage of the rest of the bottle : use it maybe for your cooking. Once I got as a present a Johnny walker and all my meat sauces for the rest of the month were excellent! Many thanks for the videos
