ОтветитьKinda wild that League of Legends uses a chess website's matchmaking program based purely on match outcome (more or less)... No wonder that god damn game was so frustrating, and no wonder everyone has always wanted to play selfishly! No wonder supports and junglers were always so hard to rank up as! I'm honestly stunned at the disconnect between the game designers (which have some wonderful ideas) and whoever decides how matchmaking works. This singular fact is more clarifying than maybe anything I've ever learned about League of Legends.

Not multiple teams or companies. Why are (correct time to use "are". Take notes.) league commentators fucking this up time and time again? Using "are" doesnt make you sound smarter. Quite frankly it does the opposite. Normalize using "is" and "are" correctly. Literally.
P.S. Correctly using the word "literally" is another convo to be had.
League ranked can be saved the moment I stop getting -25 LP and +18 LP (62% WR) at my highest rank ever achieved. It's disgusting to play better and get punished for it.

ОтветитьI really cant wait for changes. Ppl that smurf tend to be my issue. They should be flagged and seen they clearly can play at a higher lvl so placed much higher to combat smurfs

ОтветитьThis is light-years better. You can't sit there and say this is more toxic than people queuing up on troll accounts just to throw. There are literally people who make accounts to piss people off by doing this. At least with this method it will protect people who actually try.
ОтветитьI really hope they do it soon, the amount of elo inflated players in Emerald is UNREAL. Players who have been hardstuck gold/silver for multiple seasons, never once making it to plat, SUDDENLY get to EMERALD lobbies? Emerald is suddenly a coinflip of which team has less inflated players and it's simply not fun to win/lose because 2-3 people died 15 times in one game.

ОтветитьWhat if instead of this effecting LP, they use in game performance to pair like players in ranked?
If you play well and still lose, the algorithm will start to pair you with lobbies of other high performing players in your rank, therefore avoiding being consistently paired with trolls/poor performing players, but also not awarding LP for a loss?

only people mad about KDA being taken into account go 0/10 every game and play with a booster. having KDA being taken into account encourages making smarter plays. and obviously the players that just walk away from every fight even if winnable still won’t gain LP because they won’t be getting kills or assists to help their kda. and will likely lose games anyways as team fights will be in favor of whoever has more players stay to fight.

ОтветитьExcept you cannot determine individual performance in a 5v5 team game. A fiddlestick for example might have a large number of death due to engaging with a low HP pool, same with a support. KDA doesn't mean shit. It sounds like the end of LoL, with even more individualistic gameplay to come.

ОтветитьI'm open to a new system as we've had this same broken system for far too long. What bothers me the most is that they're waiting until later on into the year to implement it. So basically we're getting a shitty system for the first half (or more) and then a new system? That seems like a terrible experience in ranked as it's basically a new ranking season when you implement a new system.

Uh, the system already looks into extra metrics which is why elo hell exists. The system does not need to look into extra trash. It should give you LP based on whether or not you are winning. That's it. They can use a few extra metrics to decrease/increase LP but anything else is just extra unneeded filth and no, I'm not some hardstuck idiot I've just seen the experiences of many others who have also stated the same thing, made new accounts to get out of the elo they were stuck in, etc.

ОтветитьI believe things like Kill Participation, Objective Damage and Damage should be taken more into consideration than KDA or CS scores because CS and KDA are useless to the team if you don't convert that gold into teamfight wins, objectives and ultimately the win. The trick is to be a better player individually and to the team, not a selfish isolated player who only cares about their personal stats without any worry for the team's fate! I believe the system should give players the mentality that every game matters and that they will be rewarded for trying to win instead of just ff at 15!

Don’t have a rank or at least show MMR and make rank be relative to that.
That was you can actually see which team is favoured based on that and have a rough idea of LP gains and losses
