Blizzard banned Overwatch player for typing GG

This has happened to me multiple times. Every appeal clearly gets ignored and a copy paste message with a link to the vague terms and conditions is slapped in your face. The report system is broken as I've gotten people numerous people banned for saying gg and have had friends get bans when they haven't even played the game. All it takes are some braindead people to report you for no reason to get a ban that you cant even appeal cos blizzard will never read it.

Adding this to reasons I stopped playing Overwatch 2

reminder that the examples given by the Email are completely random chat messages from the account. That guy could have said some heinous shit and it didn't appear in the Email because of that. Yeah it's stupid, but it's what it is. Don't ever trust people who say they've been "banned for nothing" they're lying 95% of the time.

And they still want us to belive that there is a person reviewing all the stuff, cmon

I got banned from t-bagging when Overtrash 2 initially came out.

I have been banned for similar reasons, but when ppl tell me to kms or that they are going to kill my family blizzard is like oh that's fair

Doesn’t GG mean good game?

I got chat banned at some point over a couple of games a while back. I actually played with some very, very toxic people and the three of them actually picked up the 4th player on our team to join them, and I got both them a second time where they were much more toxic--so I believe they must have mass reported me in the first game only. And me being banned for what I type 100% convinced me that most chad bands are completely automated these days. There is no chance an actual human look what I was typing in both games or either game, and compared it to what they were typing, and decided that I was the one who needed to be silenced.

I'm really not surprised; I'm pretty sure at some point in the past few years, Blizzard must have just offloaded all of their support specialists, and instead of leaving people with the power to block or mute themselves, they put some kind of AI in place and it is not doing its job.

Looks like inspect element tbh. There has been a case of that and the guy who posted the screenshot got exposed by an employee

Had twice 14 day chat mute , but i didnt noticing any hard blaming, being toxic in chat... now i understand why i could have got chatbanned...

Maybe hire native English speakers to review English messages... banned for being humble....

I'm still convinced that COD will get a resurgence when it arrives on game pass. But overwatch.... probably needs a major overhaul.
