I am unable to capture the id "songsList" into my MainActivity.kt from my activity_main.xml. Whenever I type or copy paste the if in my MainActivity.kt I get red line on it, and it asks me to create local variable or object. How do I fix this?

I have a Room Database with a table.
Now i want to show my table on the recycler's view. Kindly guide me about this

Aisa nai bolte yellow wala view holder hai. Students interview me jake yhi bolenge ki yellow wala view holder hai. Yellow wala view holder nai hai. View holder matlab ki views ko hold karne wala. jo ki ek puri row ke widgets ko hold karta hai. Aur uska koi physical apperance hum nai bta sakte.
