ОтветитьThank you.
ОтветитьCan I smoke cigaretts in public??
ОтветитьVery informative and helpful. Thanks ever so much! Love from UK, <3
ОтветитьThank you for the awesome tips. I will be travelling to China soon to join an sponsored event in Shang Hai and it's my first time travelling abroad alone, so I am quite excited.
Can you expand a bit more about how you purchased a local chinese sim and also on the international roaming service?
Astrill VPN would be the best they say for China 👍
ОтветитьHi
ОтветитьCATION Respect local customs and traditions.
ОтветитьAwesome and helpful video, thank you. Which local mobile telecom company would you recommend for a SIM card for a USA iPhone? Thank you!
ОтветитьHi, how we download WeChat for foreign users..
ОтветитьAnd if you are non asian looking (white for exemple) get prepared to be looked at A LOT especially in smaller cities. The kids are the most obvious. I heard several times « dad, a foreigner! » (weiguoren / laowai) in chinese
or a kid saying to his friend « look, a foreigner » and the friend looking at me saying « wooow » 😂
I even had to take a photo with a kid once. The dad came to me and asked me « where are you from » and then asked me to take a photo with the kid. I felt like Mickey at Disneyland but it was ok.
The thing is there is almost zero foreigner in China (I have been walking a lot and I was seeing on average 1 foreigner per day in China; most of the time white guys). For some kids it’s the first time they see a foreigner.
You really feel like an alien over there 😂
I have to say it can be tiring to be looked at all the time, I was feeling like Justin Bieber followed by paparazzis 😂
I think it’s also because many foreigners left China after covid (in Shanghai for exemple) so there is really few foreigners.
And you can see it’s really curiosity from them; not just girls were looking at me. it was really everyone kids, guys, girls, grandpas..
Also be careful because some toilets are turkish toilets and don’t have toilet paper. You need to carry some tissues with you to avoid any trouble!
ОтветитьI'm going September 6th and will get there September 8th. do you know If we have to take a covid test before we leave China? I'll be flying out of Beijing on the 15th or September. Or do I just fill out the health declaration form? I know going to China we do but just want to know about leaving China. 🇨🇳
ОтветитьHelpful and direct! Thanks
ОтветитьI met a friend through live stream and she told me to come to china. Trying to figure out how and where? Any restrictions to China?
ОтветитьI am going in 3 weeks alone but in a tour group, excited and nervous!!
ОтветитьSophie Zhang, where are you from?
ОтветитьThank you for the video, I’m going to Chongqing “china” next week so what’s the best transport taxi or metro?
And is there any app I can used it ?
iPhones are no problem in China. Millions of Chinese use iPhones and there are multiple Apple stores in big cities. If you have problems, as someone for help.

ОтветитьJust subscribed! Very helpful video above & the Chinese Visa video. Planning to live in Bangkok for the next 6 months to see if I want to retire in Thailand. During that time, I will take short trips to Hong Kong (my birthplace), Shenzhen & Singapore.
ОтветитьThat VPN is stressful, loaded onto my phone before China travel. None of them worked.
Ответитьhai im going to china for study this month, so do i have to prepare extra phone just in case my iphone doesn’t work?
ОтветитьVPN on a laptop?
ОтветитьThank you so much.😊❤

Hi Sophie,
Things have changed.
We're entering a post oil age era where oil is becoming scarce.
As Klaus Swabb said we are not going back to the previous levels of tourism that we once enjoyed.
We just don't have the oil anymore.
Oil is a finite resource and we passed peak oil back in 2000.
Some say it was earlier.
Unfortunately planning to go to China or anywhere else for that matter for your average Joe is kinda finished.
My mate not that long ago went to Texas.
Well the price was too expensive for most people to afford.
Before it was possible because there was an economy of scale.
Airlines could fill their aircraft easily vs the cosy of jet fuel.
As these cost began to rise I guess they did as much as they could to either offset those costs by buying new aircraft and other measures.
Still now the cost of fuel is expensive and there is no way to ramp up capacity without driving up demand to similar levels as before without pushing up the cost of jet fuel.
I know it's upsetting to think the good times for most people is over.
We just don't have the oil anymore.
Governments don't tell you this because it could create fear in the population.
So international travel for most people is finished.
I'm from Mexico is easy to get a Visa to visit China let me know thanks nice day.
ОтветитьHi so nice of you please make a video about douyin how to sign up douyin from outside of china
ОтветитьHi Sophie, I will be going to China soon and I am looking for ways to have mobile data there, using a Chinese sim card doesn´t seem very appealing to me for various reasons. Did you use airalo yourself when you were there, and did it work well for you? I will mainly be needing data for if I get lost, and I need to navigate.
ОтветитьPreviously I found Express VPN was good in China but just having been there Express VPN was almost useless rarely connecting.
ОтветитьI’m an American living in China for quite a few years now. You did a great job on your info.432
ОтветитьActually you can just turn on international data roaming in order to use the apps. China will not block the access via data roaming.
ОтветитьNot exactly correct
So many people uses IPhone in china
I think you can connect foreign credit card with WeChat now
ОтветитьCan you visit China without a phone? What are the best places to use cash only and no apps, no face mask, no test, no vax?
Thanks
Good info
ОтветитьExcept for Commies.. why would any freedom loving Westerner want to go to China nowadays?..
ОтветитьBe sure to check the "China Travel Advisory" for Americans. It's been heating up. Currently: "Advisory Level 3 - Reconsider travel. Summary: Reconsider travel to Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau due to the arbitrary enforcement of local laws, including in relation to exit bans, and the risk of wrongful detentions."
ОтветитьI'm Chinese and most of us don't use for example expressVPN, NordVPN and other VPNs provided by these big companies because of the high price and bad network quality. Most Chinese people use special web proxy tools that are designed for internet censorship. For example, clash, surfboard, V2ray for Android; shadowrocket ($2.99) for iOS; clash for Windows; clash X for MacOS (there are many more for each operating system, I won't list them). These web proxy tools are extremely fast, low latency, and inexpensive. These software have proxy function but do not provide proxy service, you need to find a suitable proxy service provider. If you can't find the right one you can reply me.
Ответитьvery good strategy
ОтветитьThank you for this! You are so cute
ОтветитьThe app you loaded instead of using a sim card, is that free??
Will it work in other SE Asia countries like Philippines, Thailand etc??
Thanks for being so honest, example VPN you had problems with and was truthful about it.
With that said, can you or your viewer's recomend a decent practical VPN that i can use in Philippines, Thailand??
