My mum got lost in a mall when she was 5 and her dad went home to punish her instead of looking for her, so she was left when it closed up :o Also I got lost in the forest when I was like 13 but I found myself before anyone noticed I was lost. Pretty scary couple of hours though lol

My mom told me once when I was about 3, her me and my grandparents went to the store. At some point my grandfrather went out to the bathroom and I followed him, and he didn't know that I did. When he came back my mom asked where I was and he had no idea. They went crazy trying to find me, turns out I was in bathroom stall next to his. I always felt bad knowing I put my mom through that. I can't even imagine what that fear of not knowing where your child is even for five minutes.

Call me helicopter mother, but if I am alone with my children at a crowded place, I either don’t let go of their hands or even use a child leash …
I rather be a helicopter mom than experiencing this.

this happened to me, I lost my 5 year old son in the store and every security person and police man in town was on the hunt, I was breaking my heart, we looked everywhere. They checked cctv ....he was hiding in a rack of clothes in the store. it was the worst and longest 20 mins of my life. I was just so relieved he was ok, but he did learn never to d it again

I didn't watch the video ... I didn't want to see the parents worse nightmare unfold .... my mom was watching my boys and they took off. My mom called the cops immediately and my boys were found. The cops told my mom that she did the right thing in calling right away .. many kids are lost forever because the parents wait too long trying to find them on their own. Pass this on

As far as red cross goes, this only applies to white europeans, it does not apply to mongols and others. When a red cross helicopter is shot down with patriot missles its only a tragedy if the people and pilots inside are white. When they are russians and syrians its time for cnn and the usa and uk and australia and germany and canada to rejoice at the dead syrian children and two russian pilots.❤ because the red cross are nazis. I urge all peoples from india, china, russia, and vietnam to ban the red cross as it is really just a tool for funding terrorism by moving arms to isis and al queda or any other faucet of the eu. The red cross is and has never really been about neutrality as it tends to lack output to areas where the volunteers are of unliked ethnicities deemed unfit to live by the germans. Its continued rant on what it does for people onky applies when the dollars are right for the executives who run it. They fail to get real action in war zones as the only bolunteers ever come from non white people. Never has there been in the 21st century any red cross people of white ethnicity in war zones. This is why the un is ok with killing the red cross volunteers as they are not white. Its that simple. The red cross only comes before the wars will start as they move weapons and soldiers then act as if the volunteers were killed by whatever ethnicity is being used as the excuse at that time for european dominance of the world.❤

I was once separated from my grandpa in a park for 1-2 hours before elementary school. It was a summer evening when it was dark outside, my grandpa bent over to lock his bike and I just ran off thinking he would catch up. When I realized I couldn't see him I was kinda scared but we visited the park all the time and there were many familiar people, so I grabbed an elderly lady, whom my grandparents knew, by the arm, and asked her to help me find my grandpa. The 4 - 5 yo me somehow believed women are more trustworthy than men, my mother told me so I think 😅; my grandparents also told me to stay where I was should I ever be unable to find them. The lady took me to a food stand where there was light, and stood there with me to wait for my grandpa. I thought about walking home since it would be a 10 min walk and I knew the way, but I didn't want my grandpa to be looking all night, since at that time we didn't have cellphone. I just waited there until my grandpa found me, he actually climbed to the top of the mountain and down looking. He spotted me once he got down since the food stand was the only place with light. I was worried and scared but somehow remained very calm the whole time, I think I didn't cry afterwards. I was a weird kid. I didn't get to talk to my grandpa about how he felt during that time, so here's a child's perspective.
I really appreciated the lady's kindness and I miss my grandpa dearly. He's been gone for nine years.

Sad.... ❤

I was with my kid alone a lot. I always taught them we always stay together & watch out for each other & never to leave my side for any reason.

I've seen people teach their kids things thar you dont/shouldnt encourage children to do like to play hide n seek in stores 😮 not the place.

You sadly have to teach them about anyone who could try to draw them away including children.

Watching nature doc's helps w/real life age approp of course...

I remember being around the age of 7 when i got lost in a giant museum (i dont remember what it was called) one moment i was with my family and i went to read about some dinosaur when i looked up i couldn't see my family. I looked around for a couple minutes and when i couldnt find them i just stoped and started panicking i was balling my eyes out until some staff member came up to me and helped me find my family, turns out my dad thought it was a good way to teach me about paying attention. He saw me sitting there reading and decided to say nothing and walk away with the rest of my family... thanks dad you really tought me a lesson 🖕(i love you)

I am a brother. My younger brother once disappeared. I feel what my family feels. Overthinking, anxiety, panic, love are all mixed emotions and you won't think about what's around you except for your child.

This breaks my heart. Once, I couldn't find my boy for 20 minutes. He slipped out of the vacation home without anyone seeing him. When we found him about five houses down the beach, I just broke down and couldn't stop sobbing for an hour. It was one of the worse feeling I had experience. I pray that every mother and father who have lost their children would reunite with them again. 😢🙏

I remember being lost in a zoo for 2 hours. Luckily, I was with a friend, but that didn't stop us from screaming our parents names, trying to find them in one of the largest zoos in our region. It was terrifying. We found security after a bit, and hung around with them until we finally got back to our parents. If I was scared, imagine how terrified my parents must've been.

When I was a child (about 4 years old) I went to the supermarket with my dad. After a while I had to pee, so I just walked away to ask a staff member to use the bathroom. I was peeing in peace when I heard my name being called out through the store lmao. Save to say my dad gave me a huge speech afterwards lmao. He told me to never do that again haha.
