Turning a $100 4th Gen HP ProDesk into a GAMING PC? (Mid-Month Hustle)

I really like this channels and I've seen the case swap videos of HP's MB into an aftermarket case, but what about like taking an HP Elitedesk 800 G1 mini tower and installing maybe an Asus or Gigabyte mini ATX motherboard? Does anyone know or think that kind of swap would be possible?

Bro I love my optiplex 3040 SFF i7-6700 16gb ram and I put a Rx 6400 in it and it works like a dream exactly the performance I was hoping for.

What was your reason for installing the cpu cooler in that direction? I did a case swap with a4th gen HP for a flip and did not need to install the cooler backwards.

Chief, I can’t tell you how long I’ve been trying to find a simple answer to the quest “can I connect my RGB fans in the case I just bought to my motherboard?” Also, I think you answered this question but I don’t need to do anything special to get the power button to work correct? So you say you had to jump it so I just wanted to make sure you didn’t need to do anything else although I’m pretty sure you didn’t thank you so much. I’ll be sure to make a video as well and post it.

Always been an ex workstation budget gamer guy. My BOXX workstation (Xeon Bloomfield's 🔥) was getting long in the tooth. Just got a HP Z2 G4 tower with i5-10500, 32GB Ram, 512GB nvme, 2TB mechanical drive for around £300. I'm putting in a Sapphire RX580 Nitro+ SE for gaming. Can these things be put in gaming cases, Mobo says ATX but I'm aware HP can use different screw hole patterns etc. Any info appreciated 👍🏻

At the same benchmark settings my old worn out r9 390x 8gb ram did 3075 for the score and I Did have about 100 tabs open in my browser.., I figured a newer gpu would be a lot better, guess there is no need to upgrade for a while longer. of course though I got Ryzen 1700 OC'd to 3.7Ghz and 16Gb ram, which the CPU has 8 cores and 16 threads.... Its a few years old setup but can play any game so far maxed and I play at 2560x1440, I can run at 4k but the fps is a little lower then I like since it is a single gpu setup. I would like to upgrade to a newer gpu but I cant justify it because of price vs performance.
