If you set up your defenses correctly then you don't have to worry about attacks, unless you're using Rampant.

oh by the way I would never play on this map because I hate when my patches of ore are so close. I've tried to deal with my coal belt also mining lets say stone and filter out the stone, until the stone jams up and the coal can't get to the steam engines NO thank you, not again. No to ore being side by side or mixed ore patches.

Not to sound rude, but this series would've been a lot better without a facecam. Kinda distracts from the game and doesn't make much sense when there won't really be any reactions to portray.

im in the middle of my SE playthrough, 180 hours in, and i definitely still have at least 150 hours to go

Before the big update launched I had about a 45 hour playtime run. Now I don't know if I was insanely unlucky or something bugged out but iron was non existent. I had to travel more than half way to the map edge before finding any real iron. In my 2000 hours of playtime I've never seen anything like it. I've had a few seeds that lacked iron but not on this scale that's why I wonder if something bugged out. Yet I was already so many hours in I didn't want to give up. If I could just get off planet it wouldn't matter. But I didn't make it.

I'm 50 hours in to my current playthrough even with the changes it feels like easy mode in comparison. Everything is SE default of course.

Thanks for this. I've downloaded and installed all the necessary mods and what the heck, I'm going to give this a go. I'll probably have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing even after watching your playthroughs! I have played vanilla Factorio.
Do you know if there is a game progress map, so I can at least have some idea of what to do and when? I figure much of it will be learn as you go.
What would you recommend if you were to split the game progress into key 'chapters'?

Space exploration is like a free full dlc for Factorio, and I love it for that. Started a new game, but might add in Krastorio to follow along.

just got an update today, now i cant find basic beacons in the logistic menu or the craft menu on player or buildings. sucks because i cant tell my logistics to stop sending them to me since the icon is gone.

Incredibly fun watch, definitely deserve the like and sub, outro was kinda loud compared to the rest of the video tho.

This is going to be a great adventure. I just started Space Exploration myself.

Amazing mod list the bare minimum needed for a good space exploration run but also keeping a brutal grind

One of my favorite quotes about this mod is, “usually it takes around 40 to 60 hours for somebody’s first play through of the base game. Space exportation, it’s about 300 to 500 hours”

OMFG Space Exploration and Krastorio is exactly the Lets Play i have been looking for. fml i am gonna spend to much time watching this.

There is a space exploration map type thats the recommended settings in the drop down menu when you create a new world

I think the coding already takes care of it but you shouldnt have immersite or any of the other planet resources on nauvis, i believe its just default ore mines, mineral water, and rare metals? Also core seams of course lol
