You're look at about $800 for a set of cams excluding valve springs and retainers.

I’d pay for a good DLC job. That’ll actually protect it and provide an extremely low coefficient of friction.

But parkerizing is a crap treatment. It doesn’t work on firearms and doesn’t work on cams.

If you're going to explain things in detail and in a way that a non expert can understand it's hard to hear you use terms such as "scatter cam" "scavenging" and "siamese" ports. Whilst someone with a working knowledge will relate to these terms, it's highly unlikely that someone seeking information in order to make an informed choice will find that information useful. Also perhaps a script, some diagrams, a little preparation would make this a much more user friendly presentation.

I replaced my street bike (sohc)with 10mm lift cam instead of 5mm lift. But the results are poor than the stock. Upgrade big carbs too and increased the compression ratio also.

Hi, I'm new to the channel, love watching all the videos,, back in the mid 70's, my 1071 S, had a 649 cam in it, (so I was told when I bought the car),,
It sounded like a tractor below 3500, and then, all hell broke loose till around
7500 /8000 !!! Lol,,
How would the old 649 relate to modern cams ??
(the car had been tuned for hill climbing, and was a riot on the road,,,)

I'm impressed with the cam for siamesed ports. This kind of design would also benefit people who have an old Chevrolet inline 6. Those engines have 3 intake ports.

You could have high lift and short duration OR high lift and short duration lmao

Cam lift is how tall the lobe is on the camshaft. Valve lift is how far the valve comes off this valve seat and that can be changed by putting in different rocker arms without having to change the camshaft.

What would you recommand for 1275 spi engine for a street racer. and I asume it would be wise to change rocker arms and springs at the same time?
