Hey Great video- what are you running the output of the board to? DI's? etc? for Sunday... direct boxes to FOH? Thanks much!
ОтветитьHello brother. Great sound. Please share pictures of the effect chain. I plan to buy a ToneX soon. Thank you.
ОтветитьI wished you had some presets for the timeline delay…
ОтветитьVery nice! Great video! I'm currently using an FM9 and miss the fun of pedals and tweaking knobs. I'm looking at exactly what you did here, I small board with just what I need. Worship shouldn't be so complicated! I'm probably going with an Iridium with boost/compressor in front. Thanks!
Ответитьgo to the darkglass hyper luminal compressor pedal, that is the best...
ОтветитьI landed on this video in my search to find out how well Tonex takes pedals. No need to search anymore. Absolutely beautiful sounds coming out of your rig. Now to start building mine. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьMatchless Laurel Canyon for the win! I use the POD GO patch (with modified settings) and the DC-30 with Tone Factor Bluesbreaker XR IR’s with modified settings in the HX stomp with analog drives, with the Halo and Julianna for stereo goodness in the fx loop. I highly recommend the SP compressor 😁
Man, your tone sounds great!
That cloudburst though, that’s my next pedal that I’m getting soon. 🙌🏻
Thanks for sharing.
Looks great. What power supply do you use to power the board?
ОтветитьI’ve always been a fan of small, well thought out boards. Your tone is great and your playing can shine through. We don’t need giant spaceships to have a versatile and fun array of tones at our disposal.
But giant spaceship boards are fun too. To each their own lol.
Great video..don't get rid of your big pedal board ,sounds like you will eventually fill it again..
ОтветитьDude, that is a very nice, clean and great sounding board! The only thing I'd change is throw a big sky in there for more on the fly versatility with the reverb.
ОтветитьWhat are you running these pedals into? Do you have a dual amp set up for the stereo effects? I want to get into stereo effects from strymon but only have my pod go to run them into.
ОтветитьI've built an "affordaboard" for sunday worship, with most expensive pedal (at the moment) is a Flamma reverb. Ive actually gotten a lot of compliments on my tone, but i definitely have more expensive pedals i want to add. Gotta save up for those.
ОтветитьSolid board with great tones...Look into the DryBell Unit 67 compressor or the Mooer yellow a great cheaper option.
ОтветитьBro called a $2000+ pedalboard minimal haha.
Could do 90% of this with an HX stomp and an expression pedal.
Dude you need to try the suhr Woodshed comp. I've had a few different comps the Woodshed is my Fave by far! It's small perfect for a small pedalboard. How are you liking the tonex? I was thinking about either tonex or UA dream for going direct, not sure which one I'd like better. I don't like that the dream breaks up early.
ОтветитьHave the same prs. Love it for worship
ОтветитьI used a polytune for a while. It wasn't as accurate enough for me.
ОтветитьI just picked up the Tonex. I plan on doing the same thing running wet FX after have you tried running delay and reverb into the front of the amp in mono just to see how it sounds?
ОтветитьNice demos.. Thank u
ОтветитьHow you upgrade will greatly depend on where you want to be. In the mid 60s a big change was made in re-released albums. Many records were reprocessed so they could say "NOW IN STEREO". Stereo was then discovered in this way by the listening public. People really really loved stereo and it has stuck since then. LPs, then casettes, followed by CDs continued to be in stereo and everything since has been stereo. When you rush out to buy that new pedal make sure it's "NOW IN Stereo". Electro-Harmonix has the "Platform" check it out.
ОтветитьMidi loop Switcher, the best bang for the buck is the BOSS ES8. I regretted selling mind, I'm saving up for one and this time its not going anywhere..
ОтветитьWorship board = an excuse for a needlessly expensive pedal board
ОтветитьIs Your pedalboard is connected to amp ? Whats your setup recording ?
ОтветитьAs a gigging musician, I have always been a little bit amused with church guitarists pedal boards when I see one. 8 pedals is not minimal at all.
ОтветитьYou forgot about that fender amp behind you
Ответитьhello, if you find time, you can check our pedalboots from austria..., as a pedal guy, i love your vids, bye peter
Ответитьwish your channel to succeed ! a question I have, where do you plug your board in , to achieve a good guitar sounding at home, cause the tonex is a amp simulator and plugging it into an amp don't seem to be a logic step. on the other hand, active monitors are not a good solution neither for good guitar sound. so how do you achieve your sound, for yourself in your room (not the recorded one) thank you.
ОтветитьHotter than Jazzmaster pickups? You sure? Is it even possible to get hotter than 1 megawatt? xD The standard today as far as I know is around 250-500 kilowatt in most guitars. Maybe I am way off but the jazzmaster pickups are famous for being extremely bright. Like... the brightest.
ОтветитьI like how simple your board is, yet sounds big. I am currently building a smaller board, only with my needs, and not my wants. My current dilemma is whether I should give up on the Timeline and just go for the DIG. 90% of the time I use digital delay, so I guess it makes sense.
ОтветитьSuggestions? Yep. GLab loop / midi controller. JHS Whitey Tightly comp.
ОтветитьGreat presentation. I have the Quad Cortex, but find it is not really doing it for me so I just got a PedalTrain medium board that I am putting together today. I will use my QC like you use the Tonex. I have the Cloudburst, the Keeley Halo, and the AT Super Phat (Andy Timmons new pedal from Keeley). I also have a Keeley Compressor pedal. I am essentially aiming to have my QC in kind of a set it and forget it and then have the other effects for the tangible tweaking of knobs. Kind of the best of both worlds there.
I think I still need to get a tuner because I don't like the built in tuner on the QC. Probably add a few more things as I go along. I think the medium Pedaltrain is a good size but I was struck with how huge the metal case looks! I play at church most every week. I am not the worship leader, but mostly do fills and help carry the songs.
You run your Timeline into the Cloudburst. In my case I would be running my Halo into the Cloudburst. I will probably reference your video a few times today! God bless you and all you love!
I read the title as "Huge Board, Small Sound" and had to do a double take, lol.
ОтветитьPlease, me again, could tell us the sequence of the signal/pedal? Tks
ОтветитьNice to see this type of try out of pedal 1 by 1 and some combi!
i like your timeline setting!
Try a GIGRIG g3 for switching. It’s awesome
ОтветитьNice set up. Try the Gig RigG3 or the Atom. I am a big Strymon user and looking to get a smaller set up.
ОтветитьIn which universe 10+ FX in one board called minimalistic? 2 or 3 maybe but this pile of stuff weighted around 3 kg i think no way man, no way...
ОтветитьWhat I really like about your board is that your actual guitar tone isn’t buried by a ton of effects. Your drives sound great! I may have to copy your board as I make mine.
I sold off all my pedals to start over.
Does the meris sound as good as the cloudburst?
ОтветитьNice pedalboard looks like about 3k worth of stuff! Why not run a FM9? save yourself a lot of money and you get a lot more versatility, simplicity and a lot less headache with cabling.
ОтветитьThanks for the great video. Tones sound great..you’ve got the worship sound dialed!
Ответить🤢🤮🤮🤮
ОтветитьHey bro what DI do you use to go into your interface??
ОтветитьSonzera 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽🔥
ОтветитьNice! pedals Sir!👌👏
ОтветитьLet me know if you're interested in trying some samples of Elephant Foot Risers to help optimize the height of your pedals. Check out the Woodshed Compressor by Suhr - I also use a Wampler Ego and Keeley. Suhr is my favorite.
ОтветитьSounds great. You should look into the Boss MS3 if you need a switcher. I have it along with a Strymon delay and cloudburst in the stereo output. It’s great because it has all these extra effects if you need it, three loops, and midi to control the cloudburst.
