My Mum was a Wiccan. I am a punky lil Anarchist. This entire school definitely speaks to me, yet Mum's warning to "be careful with powers ya don't understand" stops me from running hog wild. But I also can't help but hear Chaos Magick as "someone let anarchists learn pagan ways"... And I absolutely love that image in my head 😍

If deities can be imagined/manifested and work in CM, then the concept of entertainment and the connection with magic makes more sense.

The thing about truth is many things can be true at the same time and some of those things can contradict one another and all of reality spans multiple universes so there is no giant truth that encompasses everything there's little truths that apply to specific things all over the place

Thank you very much for the concise, yet thorough, explanation of Chaos Magick. As a young man in the early 90s I discovered Peter Carroll and Phil Hine, and have practiced since then. It has been a wonderful journey of discovery, and remains so even in my 50s as I learn more about older initiatory paths and incorporate that into my practice. Compliments on your choice of t-shirt in the video; I'm still irritated that they cancelled their tour last year!

I just found this, and I find it very interesting. At some point I became thoroughly disenchanted. With the religious path in which I was raised, and started a spiritual quest. My search, first through trying out different practices, and then just by hard core studying, I went looking through all religions and philosophies for truths. Those things which were true in all religions. So the idea of primordial truths, and magic being known to all cultures, is very appealing. Cherry picking the explanations that make sense from all paths is kind of what I have done.
And the most profound ‘spiritual experience’ I have had was while studying biology and the working of the cell.
It is perhaps no surprise that chaos philosophy, at the very least, has sparked my interest. I am interested in learning more…..

I like the unstructured, no prerequisite approach of Chaos Magcik. It empowers by putting all the agency in the practitioner.

Back in the 2000's i used to participate in a chaos magick forum, wich was full of content. Discussions were intense, and there was people from all around the world and all ideologies. From there i came to know some things that helped me in my professional artistic work (since i am an artist) and in my own construction of an explanation of the universe. This has been very useful, and through time i've come to construct some personal rituals that help me deal with my own stuff in my everyday life. My kneejerk take is that Chaos Magick in and of itself is, for me personally in my very limited experience if any at all, feels like a catalyst ingredient that in itself is not as active or impactful until blended and applied on a larger or older tradition, it seems! It seems the later iteration of Chaos Magick, as itself, is less compelling when inward looking rather than blending into other traditions maybe? I would almost deem it like an explosive ingredient that when bended when prescribed within a framework becomes explosive even.
