I Got to remind your about what George said best fighter not being born yet, he is wrong on that subject. In history th😮eir been great fighters come end go. But the most recent one that told everyone to mix there art of fighting. Was bluce Lee. He was the one to teach us to choose carefully what is useful in real combat. The first part about trends in the industry is so true.

I used to be in the top percentage of players at gears of war. Both sniper battles and competitive. It was like every 3 months a new strafing technique would be used by all the top players. Which made things rather predictable. Although it would be used for good reason, to stand out and beat the top players I’d just not do that strafe and counter with different strafes.

Like oh wall bouncing is super popular? I’m going to straight up hard scope you off the wall or circle strafe behind your view. 2 step is popular? I’m going to wall bounce like crazy. Circle strafe is popular. I’m 2 stepping all over the place. Rodey strafinh is big? I’m going to long strafe and Barrell stuff you. Oh your seizure strafe is popular? I’m going to wall bounce away and angel slap shot you.

I think gears of war had this to a extreme with in the competitive field because when people started wall bouncing it was so good that if you weren’t bouncing like crazy you would be perceived as a noob.

Of course when you are competing at the top level everyone knows how to do all these different things. But the trick is to find tune what ever counter to the popular movements are. Instead of competing against who could fine tune that movement, fine tune other ones.

Once they start losing they will know why. They will adjust. Now you have them doing styles that they might be rusty on. That’s when you have them because now they will be focused on remembering what to do instead of what you’re doing.

Oh god I competitive gears 1 sniper 1v1 matches so much. It’s such a mind game.
