What programs do you install when setting up a new PC? Other programs not mentioned that I immediately install include Plex, and OBS Studio... Sublime Text can be evaluated for free before you buy it. Currently, there is no enforced time lime for the evaluation... Thanks for watching :)

Simplifying the process of installing apps on your computer? Because it's so difficult? Sounds like you're just letting someone else make your choices for you. And you're definitely adding an unnecessary layer to the very very simple process of installing software.

I'm afraid your way behind the times. EDGE is the top browser with which enables all extensions Chrome does.

Don't forget about Opera GX it has chrome extension support and a customizable live background which gives it a very nice look...I prefer it over those other ugly browsers

I hate that Dropbox has to sync automatically and asks you constantly to buy a new plan after they have synced the heck out of your plan.

Chrome - I will NEVER install this. Once, while installing something else, I failed to uncheck the boxes for installing Chrome (well, the second set, that they stuck down in the corner in a tiny font) and although my firewall blocked the installer from downloading it, it had already installed Google Updater. Google claims that if you have no Google programs on your system, Updater will uninstall itself. They lie. This program was still running on my system a month later. There's no uninstaller for it and after deleting the files and the several HUNDRED entries it barfed into the registry, I was left with a few entries that I couldn't delete. It installed without my knowledge or permission, it added itself to the startup, it hid its existence and it was a pain in the ass to get rid of. That makes it malware.

VLC - VLC will use up to 400% more CPU on Windows than MPC-HC while playing the exact same video. VLC also still can't open IDX/SUB files if the SUB file has been compressed with Rar, which is a common practice on the net.

GIMP - Powerful, but rather unintuitive. If you need a simple, easy to use graphics program for Windows, try Ultimate Paint. Saint Paint is also pretty good. They're more drawing/painting programs than image editors though.

BleachBit - Downloaded the portable version, unzipped it, double-clicked BleachBit.exe and... Nothing. Task Manager says it's in memory, but no window ever opens.

qBittorrent - 25-26MB, installer only, probably unpacks to 30-50 files. uTorrent 2.04, 320K, portable, one file.

Notepad++ - Has a major shortcoming in the macro recording. If you record a macro that searches for specific text and then makes changes to it, you'd expect that it WOULDN'T make changes if the text wasn't found, but you'd be wrong. Let's say you want to search for a specific word and when found, delete from that word to the start of the line. Then you tell it to run on the whole file so that all such lines will be changed. When it runs out of matches for the search, it will simply start deleting parts of lines wherever the cursor happens to be. This is because the macro execution doesn't stop if the search fails, it just carries on regardless, blindly making changes.

Internet Download Manager is a must for me.
