As a Mercedes/DTM repair specialist, I approve of this list. However, there are certain jobs that will add back value to the car, like repairing the convertible top. Its expensive but if you can get the original parts at a good price, you can learn how to repair these things yourself. It seems scary and complicated because it's a mercedes and german cars are SO overengineered, but I guarantee you if you can work on your Acura or your Ford you can work on a Mercedes.
ОтветитьWhat about the CLK500?
ОтветитьCurrently own an 07 350, the older engines suffered from premature balance shaft wear, which an campaign was opened for, basically a full rebuild, currently sitting at 230000 and still rolling strong
ОтветитьThoughts on 03 to 06 e-class in e320 guise? Not many 500's in my area. Cheers
ОтветитьWhat class is the cls 550 in?
ОтветитьBy in large a "reliable" Mercedes is probably still not as reliable as a unicorn Toyota that supposedly has 300,000 miles and going strong. But that's not what we're discussing here.
The topic is, Which Mercedes to buy/avoid. So the premise here is that we are comparing Mercedes to Mercedes.
Seeing all these comments about avoiding them all. Suit yourself. Since there are other options. But if I'm looking into buying a well kept low mileage classic from Mercedes, this video is tremendously informative.
What about 2003 e320 what your experience on those looking forward to your response
ОтветитьWhat CLK would you recommended out of 2000 or 2004 model. Thanks
ОтветитьIs there a time period where the GL550 is considered reliable? I was looking at getting a 2015 GL550 with 37k miles.
ОтветитьWhat about the clks?
ОтветитьLamborghini STILL MAKES tractors. And they're JUNK
ОтветитьBMW cars have terrible reputation in terms of maintenance too.
ОтветитьI have a 2007 E550 sedan
(0-60 in under 5 seconds) other than tires once a year
and air suspension replacement. It still was a great purchase 8 years ago.
Hey wizard what about the e55 amg?
ОтветитьThank you sir !
ОтветитьA r230 better than a r129?!
ОтветитьThanks for your advice 👍🏼
ОтветитьPOV you just paid for a c230 kompressor 😅
ОтветитьCan you talk about a 2005 Mercedes Benz E350 4matic? I would like to buy one in my area
ОтветитьWhy would you buy an Mercedes if you can’t afford the maintenance recipt ? 🤡
ОтветитьI’m interested in a 2011 E 350 I didn’t hear you mention it, does that mean to stay away from?
Ответитьhello wizard. what think about c280 2009?. i wish buy one, but i dont know anithing about this car. thanks. grettins from Mexico
ОтветитьWhich AMG do you recommend? What class and years?
ОтветитьNo mention of clk or slk? Hmm
ОтветитьWhat about a 1997 Mercedes s420? Good or bad buy?
Ответитьhe skipped over the cls class
ОтветитьIt's easy Mercedes from 2006 to this days are pretty bad, if you want a solid and reliable mercedes go from 2005 or older
ОтветитьI have a 2000 clk 430 and this mug run like a charm ♥️. I fix it myself 225,398 on the dash running like new.
Ответитьagree with w203 ... but after facelift it s different story tbh W204 is facelifted w203 in new coat technically
ОтветитьCar Companies make a fortune from parts, my company charged Mercedes 75 dollars for a painted, assembled bumper. They charged 10 times that.
ОтветитьI love my 2005 E-Class W211 E350 Avant-Garde (the AG has lowered metal suspension and other tweaks)… I know about the balance shaft, SBC, 7-G tronic probs, deterioration of interior and rubber due to sun-damage and have paid for front-end probs, the intake manifold tumble flap, fuel tank replacement, GPS antenna failure (easy to work around) and other issues, including thermostat replacement and servicing 6-monthly… However, it is still a great, 200kW fun driver which looks superb in black after 18 years and has no rust :-). PS: have always serviced it 6-monthly though it only just reached 60,000 miles / 100,000 km.
ОтветитьWhat about 2008 e350?
ОтветитьLoved my w211 e320 cdi. Great car
ОтветитьI bought my 2010 S500 little over 2 years ago after this review. Very happy I tell ya. Very reliable car. Thakns Wizard
ОтветитьWhat about a 2002 S500
ОтветитьCar wizard Iam going to purchase a 2011 E350 with 48k miles for $10,900 is this car reliable? and is this a good deal?
ОтветитьCan someone advice me about ML 320 CDI 2009-2010
ОтветитьInsurance companies in Oklahoma are not insuring new 2024 Mercedes-Benz!!!! Don't buy any Mercedes-Benz at all you will have it repossessed for no insurance!!!
ОтветитьI've owned 9 Benzes and I can't agree with all this, but I will say w202 w220, w208 and w163 are great.
ОтветитьSo a 2000 C280 would be a pass?
ОтветитьDude saying w203 is cheaply made and suggest buying the plastic interior w204 . He’s totally clueless LMAO
ОтветитьI own a 2009 W204 C200 and I would say that it is the best C-Class if not the best modern Merc. The 2.1 diesel engines are quite bulletproof. The rear subframes are the only major problem area but the corrosion warranty for the US has recently been extended to 20 years so all such affected W204s will now be covered. The W220 S-Class is definitely not for anyone who doesn't do their own repairs.
Ответить$700 to have your SL500 top hydraulics rebuilt, and install them yourself. Very reliable car otherwise.
ОтветитьDude I’ve been driving a W203 for 9 years. I put almost 80K on that and still running like a champ! It’s cheap and an economic car.
Ответить‘97-‘04 E320’s are excellent cars.
Ответитьhi what do you think on 1996 mercedes c220 is ggod car?
ОтветитьWhat about 2006 E350?
ОтветитьMake that video for Porsche
