Ответитьgood video; but i wish that you brought up how they're a lot of csa symbolism in purple haze (i.e. mouth being sewn shut, purple haze feeling the constant need to clean itself)

Baby face:
“Your stands are formed by your ideals and personality”
Kira: My name is Yoshikage Kira. I’m 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Morioh, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for the Kame Yu department stores, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don’t smoke, but I occasionally drink. I’m in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning.
I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I’m trying to explain that I’m a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn’t lose to anyone.
Anyways, I want a purple cat that can explode anyone I wish out of existence.
his character was wrote out because the nature of the stand was too OP
ОтветитьImagine he made the part where fugo didn’t join when he was asleep and forgot about him
ОтветитьIt really sucks because while watching Fugos backstory, I felt some of the most intense “sad” emotions I’ve experienced during JoJo. I think his character could’ve been amazing with his stand essentially representing his anger issues defense mechanism.
Ответить"Your personality, and deeper ideals are what make up your stand"
Keicho: i like toy story
Araki is a genius.
Ответитьthe version of Fugo's background is Purple Haze's Feedback, mainly because it is explained, and sexual activities disturbs me

what’s sad is fugos stand looks like it’s constantly touching and cleaning itself representing how dirty a person feels after being touched like that.
The fact that purple haze is a deadly disease infecting everyone around them explaining how fugos anger would probably effect everyone else like a disease, but he’s like this because of his past, his mentor, getting blamed for it, and his parents expecting so highly of him. He was kept quiet and in return he wants to finally break free of his shell and scream
“ Your stands are formed by your ideals and personality”

As much as I wanted to see Fugo do more, I get why he didn’t go along

I can relate with Fugo I’ve been dealing with anger my whole life not that I was angry at anyone or anything I just had anger I still don’t understand till this day but I’m aware of it
ОтветитьSomething that really means a lot to me is Giorno's insistence on accepting purple haze the one time it actually manifests. Abbacchio warns him over and over again to stay away and not risk getting close to purple haze because of how dangerous he is, but Giorno doesn't care about that and chooses to do everything in his power to save Fugo. He even risks dying from the virus to save him.
Based on Abbacchio's treatment of purple haze, we can assume nobody has ever done this before. Nobody has ever treated Fugo's stand as anything but a feral beast that should be avoided. Giorno showing that he's not afraid and that Fugo means more to him regardless of the danger must have been so life-changing for Fugo. Nobody had EVER shown his stand that sort of treatment before. Being shown that he mattered, that Giorno didn't care if he got hurt because Fugo was in danger and that was all that was important then, it probably reflected to Fugo that he himself wasn't as scary as he thought. That if Giorno could accept the scariest part of himself that he was the most ashamed of, maybe other people could to, and maybe he wasn't so bad. Maybe his rage didn't have to ruin him. Maybe he didn't have to rot everything he touched.
Another thing I find interesting about purple haze is it's need to be constantly clean- as a victim of sexual assault, I know that myself and many others experience a feeling of dirtiness. I always read his stand's behavior in that moment as an attempt to wash off what had been done to him. This was further brought out by Abbacchio stating in that scene that if Fugo could see his stand, he wouldn't be letting it act like that, similar to how there's such a sense of shame associated with sexual assault and Fugo wouldn't want anyone to know what happened to him or how horrified he feels as a result.
In addition, the ability that Fugo's stand itself has also draws parallels back to sexual assault-- many victims also feel that they are "rotting" or empty after their assault. Purple haze's virus rotting its victims from the inside out reflects this perfectly. It's Fugo's subconscious way of doing to everyone around him what was done to him-- making everyone around him rot from the inside. His stand has the ability to inflict his own pain, even if his is in a more metaphorical sense, onto those around him.
It's also a little heartbreaking that Abbacchio, and presumably the others in Passione, treat purple haze with so little respect-- typically if a certain role is assigned to someone they can't help but fit that role. Treating Fugo's stand-- and, by extension, him-- as this horrifying, uncontrollable beast that should be avoided at all costs is very likely a part of why it remains that way. Fugo has very rarely been showed much compassion, that's why Buccellati was able to convince him to join the mafia using just kindness-- perhaps his stand could be calmed down in the way one could soothe a feral cat. Fugo is a good person-- he doesn't WANT to hurt anyone. Perhaps if he was treated with understanding, if he was shown again the way Giorno showed him that he doesn't have to be scary, he doesn't have to cause pain, and there could be happiness for him, he could find a way to accept himself and gain more control over his stand.
Sorry for the long ramble, I didn't intend for it to be that long-- I am very passionate about Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and I could talk about Fugo for hours. He has a special place in my heart, somehow.
How does sticky fingers represent him?
ОтветитьPurple Haze is my favorite stand in Jojo out of 10, and Fugo is one of my favorite side characters in fiction.
ОтветитьNIR-RANCH-A
ОтветитьI see everybody in these comments commenting about certain characters not fully lining up with 'stands as personality', so just for fun i'll put my interpretations on examples i see:
Avdol and Magician's Red- Avdol, being a fortune teller would be spiritual and would likely believe in something like rebirth, which pheonixes embody. Additionally, he's egyptian, so he's familiar with mythological birds and flaring heat.
Holly Kujo: It's explicitly stated that the reason Holly's stand was killing her is because stands are a fighting spirit, and Holly's meek personality meant that she lacked said spirit to control her stand properly. I also want to note her stand appears as thorny vines, like Joseph's Hermit Purple.
Forever and Strength- While an orangutan having an entire ship as a stand is an absurd concept even for jojo, it could be seen as symbolic of Forever's pride. It should also be noted that the stand isn't the ship itself, but rather something that attatched itself to the ship.
Yukako and Love Deluxe- A yandere stalker who can control her hair. Maybe because she wants to grasp Koichi all for herself, and takes some pride in her looks at least.
Guido Mista and Sex Pistols- Mista is kind of a weird guy, terrified of the number 4 among other things. His stand is six [sans 4 obviously- they go 1-7] bullet-sized gremlins with distinct personalities and are all fully sentient, embodying his strange nature and skill with guns.
There's others, but i'm going to bed, so.
Your stands is formed by your personality
Narancia : I like P L A N E
It can be both grandmother thing and then the professor after ridiculing his grades "offer" to raise them then triggering his rage.
ОтветитьYour stands are formed by your ideals and personally
Secco: swim in concrete
fugo killing the professor with an encyclopedia is definitely a canon event
ОтветитьPurple haze: i punch you, you die
You punch me, you die
-poison damage: 5
•duration: until you die
I love Narancia and Fugo so much.
Ответитьat least he is still alive
ОтветитьThe only adequate part 5 character.
ОтветитьWouldn't Fugo be a fucking menace if he had embraced who he was and his stand?
Ответить"Your personality, and what your deeper ideals are, make up your stand"
Josuke: Breaks logic
"Your personality, and what your deeper ideals are, make up your stand"
Ghiaccio: venICE
Purple Haze Feedback was an awesome book, the ending ruled.
ОтветитьI do feel like him not going makes sense for him thinking that staying is the smartest decision, he is looking on the on the logical side and ignoring his feelings
ОтветитьNice to see a video focusing on Fugo.
I feel like he's kinda underappreciated imo.
It's a shame how he was written off when he only had 1 scene to truly shine.
Purple Haze had a lot of potential as it's cool to see another Stand user not being able to control their own Stand, but was still able to make use of it.
Purple Haze is also another great example of "Stand being a manifestation of themselves" as Purple Haze is Fugo's true self, one that he's afraid to reveal as it's filled with rage, and toxic.
The side of him, that he hates
His backstory is also very depressing.
He was a smart kid but he had to deal with parents that constantly forces him to overstudy himself, just for their own good.
Even worse was that he was mol3sted by his teacher, which led to one of his angry outbursts,k1lling the b@stard.
He had every right to do so yet he was punished for it...
While I would've loved the "Fugo betray the gang" plot,I can't blame Araki for not doing so as he wasn't in a good place at that time.
Great video as always,good sir
Currently watching this part and honestly i forgot about him... But now saw him in the opening (i don't watch them in every episode) and was like wait a minute and here i am
ОтветитьPurple haze feedback is goated

Okuyasu: 🅱️ 🅱️ 🅱️ 🅱️ 🅱️
Would've love to see him more in part 5 but i also love how it's such a in-character thing for him to not join.
ОтветитьI love Fugo and Purple Haze, the first time i saw Purple Haze inmediatly become my favourite Stand, the power and rage and destructive power and personality made him special. its a shame that was the last appearence of him. I wish he didnt leave the gang, but still, Panacotta Fugo is so cool🦾🗿💫
ОтветитьIt sucks because I love this stand and the character it’s just dumb how the author said he couldn’t find a way to beat him or have him defeated dude I can name 5 characters in Jojo during part 5 not other ones and it doesn’t include crimson emperor, but I can literally name 5 bad guys that can actually beaten him or even kill him or give him a run for his money
Ответить
