Stop making these videos. I didn't like this company and I don't like it when I need to change my mind.
(great work!!!)
Great doing a video on this, its good to know that these expensive products aren't for everybodys workflow. Buy a product for what it can do, not what you think it can become. Kinda kills me cause I could see so much potential for chopping and having fun with the effects
ОтветитьDefinitely would be great if they provided a way to copy/paste from one key to another.
Ответитьwhat’s the best way to tweak the transients on this thing?
ОтветитьDoin the lord’s work with these videos 🙏
ОтветитьYeah please add Zero Cross Snap.
ОтветитьYees!!
ОтветитьI think if you want to chop a sample, the best way is to use the drum sampler. Maybe i'll make a video on it as I think it might help some people.
ОтветитьNice result and video. The cutting part and no copy-paste for individual sections of multisample was kind of painful to see though. Not hopeful for update soon but I feel like it could happen at some point.
ОтветитьElektron does the same. Only the Octatrack has sample chop. Timestretching, chopping would kill the OP1s lifecycle.
ОтветитьGreat stuff! Imagine launching a 'sampler' feature in this day and age WITHOUT a chop feature.
ОтветитьOctatrack entered the chat:….oh my dear chid, you are quite cute…
Octatrack left the chat:…
I hope they definitely have it. I mean auto chop is in the OP1 field , Why would it not be in OPXY so I'm guessing they will eventually have a firmware update I hope.
ОтветитьGreat vid. That metronome though..... why do they always choose woodblock! :-)
ОтветитьThis is awesome! Btw, can you copy paste the sounds into different tracks like Elektron?
ОтветитьAuto chopping would be great. What do you guys think about if they implemented the OP-1 style tape recorder for internal loops? Would that be redundant? Like if it recorded the master output so any external effects sends, punch in fx could be recorded in real time, paused while your sequences are going, and then bring that loop back in later? I think the sequencer is awesome but would also be nice if there was a gridless looper internally, with some tape style effects like speed changes.
ОтветитьWhy isn't it more useful to use drum sampler for this? I've read the comments and found out. Good video.
Schooooppopping
Ответитьhey! is it worth getting an ep-133 ko II if i’m already planning on grabbing the xy eventually?
ОтветитьTop notch! Thanks 💙 @Shimmery.mp3
ОтветитьKinda hard to understand why such an expensive piece of gear doesn't have proper sample chopping...
ОтветитьCanceled my order. Thanks!!
ОтветитьOh wow, I was doing this exact same exercise on my OP-XY yesterday, and my resolution was to just pre-chop my amen break on Ableton, then just import every chop on the drum sampler. Took me about 10 seconds hah. I hope sample chopping/timestretching feature comes to the OP-XY soon, that would be amazing.
Still, I was able to add step component effects, reverse, etc. on the OP-XY and got some really cool results. That's where the real fun is!
Welcome to the 90’s
ОтветитьI freaking love it, great job man! I'm excited to get one from the used/b-stock market, when they're available.
ОтветитьHow do you find using the keyboard compared to the OP-1? Obviously the white keys are much shorter but does it make much difference?
ОтветитьHi buddy. How do you delete step components? Mine are stuck. I can’t find out how to delete them
ОтветитьLove this! And enjoy your videos. Problem solving is the name of the game! I wonder if it would be easiest to utilize the koala sampler to chop and export…? My favorite thing about TE machines is just exploring - having an idea, and then figure out how to get what I want. The discovery along the way often yields more new cool stuff than it does challenges
