How do i swap from str to cha and still respec as paladin lvl 1?

Hello, I'm running this build too but I went for multiclass warlock at lvl 3 already so to rush 5 levels in warlock asap. Is it viable as well? Also, can I ask the name of that flaming weapon you use in the video? Thanks.

I want to do a Dark Urge playthrough. Is it hard to not break your oath with Dark Urge until level 7? 😂

How do i get him back, he aggroed on my trying to slap material on the floor for animate dead. For some reason he cared about "using the worng corpse". Anyway now hes a corpse in my camp chest and withers wont help me change class. Did i bork?

One question, i’ m now Fighter lv 2 and Paladin oathbreaker lv2.
I want to Respec (with the undead guy at camp) and go 4 lv paladin, will this cancel the oathbreaker?

found a greatsword that seems awesome with this build Svartlebee's woundseeker Deepen the Wound: The wielder gains a +1d4 bonus to Attack Rolls with this weapon when attacking creatures that have already taken damage.

saw it on another video and didn't know about it, you get it by killing or knocking out gauntlet yeeva at waqueen's rest in act 1

I’m thinking of rerolling to an oathbreaker, are there any opportunities to break oath aside from the tieflings that caught Lae’zel? I’m still at the goblin camp / Druid grove

dex is not a dump stat....

gith are great because you get weapons that deal extra damage if you are a gith

The Eversight Ring from Act 2 gives immunity to blindness and lets you see in the darkness spell.

Question does great weapon fighting affect smite in this game. I now RAI en DnD 5e it doesnt but in this game some of this things are not clear

If you play the Durge, you are guaranteed to break your oath; Alfira's murder at the hands of the Durge during their blackout counts as breaking Oath, no matter which one you take. Which for the sake of becoming an oathbreaker for your build is fantastic, but for roleplay... it's also fantastic, at least the first go around. I've yet to see if there's any other instances that cause an auto break, but I imagine at some point, if the Durge wishes to stay on the straight and narrow, they and OBK are just going to share a silent high five instead of words

Ive been thinking about doing a 7 Fighter/5 warlock but i have to admit this looks fun too

I think that if you wanted to fully min-max this build I would go with Tiefling and Zariel Tiefling is the best as a starters since you get free smites. You can also choose between Drow (For Faerie Fire/Darkness), Duergar (free invis and enlarge). You would drop your first 8 levels into Paladin and any of the Oaths are actually pretty good and then lastly drop your last 3 levels into Warlock either Fiend or GOO. You choose Fiend for the survivability granted by the temp hp for killing enemies and GOO for the crit frighten. Tome and Blade are the best pact features and I would incentivize blade over Tome's 3rd level abilities since Blade allows you to put your rest ASI scores into maximizing your Charisma scores instead of your strength so you can dump the rest into your other skills and the pact weapon feature. You would also put in your illithid powers into Luck of the Far Realms and Favorable Beginnings. For Warlock the two invocations that are important are going to be agonizing blast and devil sight if you plan on running Darkness. If you do not plan on running Darkness, Armor of Agathys and Hellish Rebuke are prime spells to have. The best way to use your spell slots at the end of the day is the short rest free smites that go a long way though.

What oath did you take and what action did you take to break your oath at lv12? I'm trying to do this build but as oath of vengeance it's hard to break and im seeing you can't re spec and break oath after act 2

why dont you go oathbreaker at lvl 1? why wait lvl7?

Great Video. Another note, you can actually use your eldritch blast to shoot out of the darkness. It can be a real life saver is certain dire situations. Allowing you to just finish off ranger enemies that won't come inside it like on your video.

Sorry if these are newb questions but I've been playing this game for a week now. My main story character is a paladin. I just hit lvl 5 and had broken my oath a few lbs back.

It looks like your saying to lvl paladin until lvl 7 and at that time start the warlock build? I'm a little fuzzy in if I still need to respec to get any missed spells? It would cost me the 1k to regain my oath and then break it again. Or should I just plug in as I am and start following your guide from where I'm at now?

Edit: ahh I seenow that you suggest respecting later in the process. So I'll just keep going until pact of the blade! Nice!

Cause Wounds can be overcast to cause more damage dice but I agree, you hit so hard in melee it's kinda useless

I'm thinking about shield run and not sure if it's worth it, if the bonus attack doesn't work..
How would you compare your build with this variation: 7 shield and spear oathbreaker palladin + 5 fiend weapon pact warlock + polarm master feat?
The Idea is to have more use for reaction. Since there will be overall less damage per turn crits are less favorable and it is better to take heal on kill.
