You know the term con man is short for confidence man. Homie tells you he has 83¢ in his bank account but we see him getting a cigarette and drinking a beer in the video. With enough confidence anyone can convince you their work is good, and conversely even if you are making bad work, eventually with enough time and confidence you’ll get a good shot here and there. I’ve taken plenty of bad photos myself but the whole “seeing something interesting” is incredibly subjective. I think the majority of the shots in this video are not interesting and the framing is pretty poor. But the beauty of this guy’s attitude is that he knows his stuff isn’t for everyone and that’s something I appreciate.
