The 40 might suck, but the 9nwas great, wish I still had it. Watch this guy reload a mag in this video before u decide to take his advice on forearms. He looks like a democrat 😂

The security 9 is smaller than the 19 in every dimension with the same capacity and less weight. Am I missing something?

The caliper isn't even on. How can you use the full capability of the tool? Do you only put ten rounds in a fifteen round mag too?

I'll take the Hellcat with 11 rounds and 22.6 oz. 11 is enough for any needs I may run into and having any extra weight makes it harder to carry daily. 2.1 ozs every day adds up. Plus, Shield S15 Magazines have had some spotty reliability issues. Can you truly trust their magazines with your life? I'd prefer to stick to OEM.

It's funny how differently people can vary in how they value attributes of their weapons.

I, personally speaking, think the heavier the better. All pistols are going to be light enough to handle with ease, but heavier pistols handle recoil better. And I value the ease of handling more than I do cutting a couple ounces off.

I also greatly value barrel length and I'd rather have a slightly more bulky pistol if I receive a longer barrel.

I would almost read this chart backwards, wanting the least rounds/oz but keeping with atleasy 15 rounds.

I carry my G 26 sometimes with a G17 mag in it or at least as my backup mag. I once had to do some business in a bad part of town so I put a 33 round mag in my pocket .

Look people . I don't give the thought of how somebody could give the win to Glock . Please hear me out . Glock was a cutting edge company in the 80's. No doubt about it . Are the reliable? Yes . Are they cutting edge ? No . They are a company that is riding on their 80's credentials. Glock knows what the general public wants in a handgun . What do we get ? We have to depend on aftermarket support to get something as good as what we cab get from other manufacturers. If I was to but a Flock a run SHIELD mags in it and had a problem , what would people say ? Blah, blah, blah , you should have ran aftermarket mags on it . Corporate cop out! Build your shit to current standard !

I wonder how the Beretta PX4 Storm Sub Compact would measure up with a full size mag and the adapter piece they make for putting on the mag so it gives you a full grip on the gun. 18 total rounds. Probably bigger and heavier though. Although you are still using OEM mags and not third party. I have both a Glock 43x and 48 and have had significant failures with certain types of ammo with the Shield Arms mags. Also it is very difficult to remove the OEM Glock mags with the Shield Arms mag release. My Beretta however so far has not had a single failure.

I know this video is based on your opinion and I don't disagree with your rankings. I own, or have owned, most of these guns at one point and the guns I chose for my carry rotation are the Springfield Hellcat RDP, Sig P365 SAS, Glock 43x, Glock 19 and a Ruger LCP (gen 1). Most of the time, my go to is the RDP, but situation, weather and clothing are the biggest factors for deciding what I'm carrying. I've pretty much moved my Glocks out of the carry rotation because of the grip angle. Not that there's anything wrong with it, but the VA botched a wrist and elbow surgery and now getting a decent sight picture with the Glocks is super uncomfortable. Most of the time I'm just running to the gas station, so my LCP gets carried a lot, even though I hate my LCP. The only reason I don't get rid of it is that it's not worth any significant amount of money and it's a comfortable gun to throw in my pocket. Plus, it makes a good gun you're not going to care about getting back until your trial is over if you ever have to use it. With that being said, the fucker that makes me shoot them with the LCP is also getting beaten with it for making me blow up a fire cracker in my hand. Good video though and I like the data presented.

James, with no doubt, the weight needs to include weight of ammo. No one carries without ammo. Whether or not you include a round in the chamber, it's proper to carry with one in the chamber...

I would like to see a modernized video of this featuring the the hellcat pro and the p365 macro and see what shakes out between the 48 and 43x with the shield mags and the pro and macro. And maybe James do a video review all 3 side by side considering the three guns are really changing the compact market in big big ways.

Yet again, a Glock fanboy’s only way to get the block to compete… change a major component/modify, and compare to other stock pistols. That’s like saying the Honda Civic V tech is the fastest car on the road… Once you spend all the money to mod it then yea..kinda… for a min. But none of the other cars on the list were modified for the comparison.

I wonder how the SIG P365X with MAGGUTS +2 would compete? That brings capacity up to 14 rounds and at an ounce lighter and considerably smaller than Glock 43x, it might beat it out.

How about the Hellcat Pro? I guess this video predates that but based on their numbers it looks better than the 43x in terms of rounds/sq in. Great video, thank you

A more logical way to measure the weight of your guns would be with a LOADED magazine, unless you carry your concealed handgun void of ammunition to save weight. Of course that would not allow you to cook the numbers, fanboy.

I love everything about the p365xl and have wanted one for quite awhile. But I went ahead and palmer one at the store and it just felt like the grip was just too small for my hand and I felt lacking without my pinky fully on the grip. Doesn't anyone know a good compact for concealed carry thats close to the p365xl but with a grip that my pinky will fit on?
