I have travelled in the northern areas of pakistan many times with my family, and throughout our travels we've always seen Chinese companies working on mountain-side projects for dams and river-related structures. I haven't counted how many, but if I did with my fingers it'd prolly need 2 hands. China's very active in my country, it's better for the safety of our people and our economy, but its also just another external power building up its influence in what is a desperate nation.

Flood aid for pakistan is justified.
But some other facts are not.
pakistan deserves aid for it's disaster management but it is not the only country in the world that is hit by climate crisis.
Whoever donates has no idea about where the money is going.
most part of it goes to their corrupt politicians' pockets, some part goes to terror funding and whatever remains at the end is used as public welfare.
So if you're thinking of donating something, donate in form of food, medicine etc. but not direct money.

To be honest, i don't pity this country, they in spite of all that happened still worship khan, a leader who capitalize on populism rather than pragmatism made their problem untenable, sure previous leaders of pakistan is at fault too, but khan could have done something to slowly mitigate these issues, pakistan is already a dying country, the current leadership simply inherited problems that are now starting to show itself, khan worshippers saying these problems never occur in khan are just plain uneducated, the problems were there, you just haven't felt it yet, plus their constant support to terrorism, also pakistan has vast network of islamic education instead of institutions for science and secularism. Their country is just in the corner for disaster,
