Imagine being this lazy that you have to hand off half of your thinking process to an AI. The lack of discipline is insane
ОтветитьExcellent Video!
ОтветитьHey Andy,
how about you try Notion?
Its an amazing productivity and writing tool. And it has also some AI functions that can help with (academic) writing. 😊😊😋
doesn't work in Julius like you said, how to fix it ? what is your email ?
ОтветитьHi! thanks for the videos! Is there a possibility to include the page number in the citation with the Assistant by Elicit?
Ответитьis this a paid ad?
ОтветитьYou are good Andy
ОтветитьThank you for this! I am looking for resources that can handle synthesizing information from sources the Japanese language. I know chat gpt can summarize, and same with Norton, but if you happen to know anything else, I am all ears!
ОтветитьAll these, and end being banned due to Ai detection
Ответить'Find a reference that supports the following statement: ...' is confirmation bias brought to perfection. Also, AIs biggest strength is to immitate what has existed before, not to generate wholly new things
ОтветитьThank you so much. You saved me many times. I graduated with a PhD now. Your method can help me further
ОтветитьThank you, Andy! I'm from Madagascar. Your video is amazing!
ОтветитьLove this video. Great tips. I’ll come back to it again and again. Thank you for posting.
ОтветитьCan someone just write it for me? 😂
ОтветитьYou can upload files from referencing software too
ОтветитьAlways good to learn from you❤❤
ОтветитьHi Andy, are there any AI tools you'd recommend for creating a survey for primary data collection?
ОтветитьWow this is so useful
ОтветитьHi Andy! I would love to see a video about the limitations and ethics of using AI for academic work. Are there ethical gray zones to be avoided? I've seen a lot of content on ethical issues of AI use in classroom settings but not much for research settings yet.
ОтветитьThis is where the buck stops for me. If you are using AI tools to do the job for you... where the heck is the 'journey' of learning how to write an academic article or thesis? While I do appreciate some of your videos, to me using AI to write articles is a very clear demonstration of academic misconduct and sheer cheating. Where is the challenge? Where is the critical analysis that humans should have if they are to enter academia? How can you demonstrate any cognitive competency if you are not making the effort, you are not developing it? If you don't like academia, you certainly have other options, but I do not think it is helpful to air these cutting-corner videos. I am catching students using this AI already and they are far from having learned anything in the process other than asking a robot to write their assessment.
ОтветитьHow Can You In increase The Number References For Text using This AI? When selecting text and asking for reference, just shows the same

ОтветитьI have recently become familiar with artificial intelligence, and I have greatly benefited from your videos. Thank you for your excellent videos. I'm just a bit confused and need to know what the best tool is for academic writing? (I need to be able to justify my research hypothesis. I have explained that, for example, I expect variable A to moderate the relationship between variables B and C.)
ОтветитьWhat happens with the papers published in journals that are not open-access?? Can the AI access to all the info or just to the title and the abstract?
ОтветитьHi Andy , thanks for all your great work as always. Do you have any suggestions for AI voice to text ? This would be for recording lectures to then process into notes. Most AI voice to text monthly plans only consist of 300mins per month . That's outrageous as full time study clips that amount each week with lectures. Any suggestions? Thank very much
ОтветитьHey Andy, would you do a video on academic conferences for undergraduates/ recent graduate students? Also if you haven't already what would be your advise for somebody recently deciding on getting a ph.d. ? I work in research as a senior in undergrad, thanks!
ОтветитьThanks for sharing. Unfortunately, most journals in my field won't allow the use of AI tools.
ОтветитьWriting a well-researched paper requires a diligent approach towards reading and analyzing source material. While AI tools can assist in the process, it is important to avoid complacency and strive for excellence. As PhD students, it is crucial to acknowledge and respect the challenges that our parents faced during their own academic journeys. By adopting a proactive and dedicated attitude, we can overcome obstacles and achieve success in our own studies.
ОтветитьAcademic papers need to adapt to new standards of consuming content. It is a waste of time for both the researchers and the reviewers. There is no major benefit for the field of study much less to society as a whole. Society is the actual funding entity for most research (tax payers) so we should be demanding actual solutions from academics.
ОтветитьDo you have to include a disclaimer of some sort that indicates that you used ai?
ОтветитьI find it amusing that you add a little "please" when talking to ChatGPT.
ОтветитьHey Andy love all your stuff even your beard content. Can we get some content for undergrads looking to do research at school hiw to get in REUs and applying to Ph.D and masters programs
ОтветитьThis video is genius! Thank you very much! I already used Chatgpt for help with writing. But you provided so many more options!
ОтветитьLove your videos. I was really looking foward a video of how you use these AI tools because It's easy to get lost with so many of them out there.
Thank you.
I have started to create my own database on Notion of AI tools for research and productivity suggested by both Andy and other LinkedIn sources...and now I have FOMO and can't NOT watch his videos on ai x research 😅
ОтветитьHi I am subscribed to chatGPT 4 and I cannot see the "Advanced Data Analysis"(Beta) is that only reserved for some experienced users like to test it?
ОтветитьThese are all just for fun never use this to avoid plagiarism
ОтветитьThis is ridiculous. Abstract is the last piece of paper you write. You never start with an abstract
ОтветитьThanks Andy!
To everyone, I will like to ask, how effective is the Turnitin AI detector?
I'm curious please.
Thank you.
Very interesting techniques Andy. Well done
ОтветитьAs s dyslexic researcher you do not even imagine how much this would have helped me when writing my PhD thesis! They were some sad and sleepless nights!
ОтветитьLooks like a lot of work, I kind of miss the days I had to use my own brain from start to finish
ОтветитьThanks Andy! Could you please do a video on the best tools for automatic language/grammar/spelling review (such as grammarly)?
ОтветитьWon't a paper get rejected when using AI tools? Especially generative AI?
ОтветитьHorrible advice! Reading abstracts is already boring in general, mostly since most authors rewrite the same boilerplate banalities about a subject again and again, citing the same references etc. And now, this tendency will accelerate with AI. Then, we definitely need AI to detect that the abstract has not been generated by AI 🙃
ОтветитьThis is leading towards anarchy in academia.
ОтветитьAmazing technique!
ОтветитьThanks for making such insightful vedios
