Hi, sophomore Data Science major at Cornell university. The field as whole is so broad, so this was excellent.

I’ve also had a big issue finding a data set that motivates me.

I have been looking for a career switch in to Tech for some time. Data Analytics came to mind as the popularity of this position has grown thanks to social media. Here I am doing my research trying to learn more about what this career entails. Years ago I was working for a company as a receptionist and they had me doing demographic research on the local people. I recall it took me months! I was literally even using the yellow pages. I sure wish I knew about Data Analytics then.

Hi thu, how to start with data science and focus on data cleaning etc. I too have an unstructured data from a public chat group related to NGOs working in animal welfare. I want to analyse sentiments of the major groups (donors, appeal requests, rescuers, animal cruelty) .

How should I start? What courses would be the best to proceed? As of now the data i have is a word document.
