Why make all the products sound and look the same. You literally have to read the fine print to know which one is what you want. I've been professional for 50 yrs in auto body and 3M is natorious for confusing up there products. I think they are trying to own language to get you to buy!!!

You really need to put a handle on the gallon size. It is a hassle to carry and use the product without a handle. I can't think of another product in gallon size that does not have a handle. Paint, milk, ice cream. You name it.

Cracks me up when you go to a AUTO REPAIR/PARTS STORE and they try to sell you the wrong stuff..."cause they don't know much about the stuff."

It would be super nice if the plastic lid was easily removable.

..... ive filled holes the size of my fist with bondo glass... then again ive also had trouble filling holes smaller than a dime with no backing material... just gotta know how to do it..

The 3m fiberglass products is the best I've ever used. Repairing fiberglass truck hoods it works really good.

Thanks for this primer. Question: what is the working time of both the Standard Bondo and the Gold Bondo? Also, in what instances should one version be used over the other? For instance, I see Chip Foose's crew using primarily the Gold Bondo. Why do they use this as opposed to the Standard Bondo? Does it have to do with the size of the divots/defects that are going to get filled? Thank you. 

any ideas for me, my nissan is rusting in the radiator core area in back of the bumper, do you guys think I can use this stuff in that area to successfully repair the rust damage or should I just replace the part? 

yes it does. but not really hot but there is a heat to it. that is how it cures, i have used bondo fiber glass mat and fiberglass bondo to do a speaker pod. i had made my own box oven (box and 2 heating guns) to cure it faster.
