ZBrush - Brush Fundamentals (In 3 Minutes!!)

Quick Note: The size, and intensity settings only affect the selected brush. So if you lower the intensity of the Standard-Brush, that doesn't mean you lower intensity on the Smooth-Brush. If you want to change the size and intensity of the smooth brush, just change those while holding down 'shift' when the smooth brush is active - Hope that helps :)

Your vids are so god damn helpful. My instructor had a very "Oh this? Yeah we don't worry about that." attitude about everything.
I am so pissed I am just finding out about focal shift and the ability to rotate on the Y-Axis, he told us to just get use to it.
Spending 3 minutes trying to get the model back up right is such a waste of time.

Unrelated but I've been thinking of getting it myself, used ZBrush Lite for a while and started my 14 day trial yesterday: Did you buy the whole package or did you sub? And if you buy it do you only own the 2022 version?

I've found that a lot of the brush channels I watch use the clay brush instead of the standard. Personally, I like it more because it feels more natural. The standard brush is a bit too clean. I recommend giving them both a try.

I'm considering upgrading to ZBrush. Right now at ZBrush core. Is their any tools that you cant live without in Zbrush to make it worth getting?

I dont think your quick formats work with a UI as alien and unuserfriendly as zbrush... I'm a couple hours into a beginners tutorial and I feel like this software was not meant for humans

The Y axis on toggle button tip was very helpful thank you!
As a blender user I also prefer this way of rotating around the mesh.
The xyz rotation system was very annoying.
