14 pro max is great phone with great build quality.... 15 pro and pro max feels very cheap... Reminds me the s22 ultra how use to feel the back side..

Now I am not an Iphone user, but maybe the combination of pro max is sprayed with titanium and is running USB3 Speeds compared to normal 15 with aluminum and is using USB 2.(faster speeds means more heat) Now I know apple has been using C for a while now on the iPad but that has a wider area to disapte heat. This is a new challenge for apple and they will tinker with USBC or get rid of the port all together.

Running a game with picture in picture not charging makes it hot fast even at low brightness.

My 14 pro max felt always WAY hotter than my 15 pro max while charging..

If you got the 14 pro max it’s not worth upgrading tbh. Better wait a year or two unless you got money like that

You are the best man, the idea of using 14 pro with IOS 16 and Iphone 14 pro with IOS 17 using iphone 15 pro with ios 17 is an excelled idea if the issue is with software or hard ware.

Definitely it will go over 100 because most people have cases on their phones.

I mean the s23 ultra actually has a cooling system via vapor chamber cooling and the iPhones have zero cooling other than passive.

the biggest test is making the phone move data both ways like a tik tok live and also charging.

As a ENGINEER,this test is totally pointless,youve got all the phones giving off ambiet tempretures,meaning close together also the fast charge will also a povide a higher temp 😱

fast charging sends the most juice when the battery is the lowest. i hope they redrain the phones for the fast charging........

This test confirms what l already believed- that Samsung phones are cooler by as much as 10 degrees in some scenarios

I‘ve got an iPhone 15pro and its also pretty hot while Charging. When it lays on the Table like yours its ok because it can absorb the heat way better.

My friends iPhone 11 pro started heating up drastically after iOS 17.0.2.

my s22 ultra can get to 130 degrees f when streaming live. it heat shrunk my dbrand skin. white startes showing all around the edges of the wrap and i noticed it had heat shrunk where it gets got the most

This method to test heating issue is purely fooling you. The current traveling to each phones will be different, so the heat production. Install ampmeter or Accubattery to see how much current is getting on each phones. You need to be more careful when doing it on Apple way that's fooling the customer.

I don't have such a problem, it's cool all the time and I received mine on 23rd Oct. I had that problem with iPhone 12 pro max though.

Apple has been playing it safe most it life, not innovating anything almost, just taking technology that's been out for years and refining it. Now they had to make a substantial change with type c and you can really see it's true colors shine 😂😂 what a joke of a company. Glad I left back in 2012

I think it might be heating up too much because of the video games that Apple has advertised the iPhone 15 can handle. AKA the console level video games. I know many people play those types of games while also charging their phone so they can play for longer and with that combination I think it could easily overheat.

Well I have a trick for a hot 🥵 iPhone take the charging plug out and place the iPhone by an open window for a short period and it should cool down ok 👍.

When I got my 13pro last year I had the same problem the phone would get extremely hot.I went to T mobile traded it in for 14plus I told T mobile my phone overheats and gets hot 14 plus get sometimes hot when charging it but not when using it those units are defective I'm assuming. Anker bricks are good I use them they don't dissapoint at all
