Welp, time to give up on being on engineer or basically having any job.
Looks like I'm going to work at a factory sweatshop on the conveyor with my lpic and ccna.
It's rare that you hear a master's degree openly admit that a degree is over valued.
ОтветитьHello David. Many thanks for your contribution I left my country in Africa one year ago. Today I joined Cisco dreaming company. I am Very humble for your course, videos and advices. we are so lucky for everything you brought on table. WeareCisco.
ОтветитьI wish I had seen this video a year ago, but it's very valuable information.
Ответитьthank you for this content. awesome knowledge!
ОтветитьI'm a true fan and a lover of David bombal I find the old videos of dave
ОтветитьAs i am pursuing graduation which is non technical. By seeing this video, it made me clear that, there is no mandatory required technical graduation for networking job Or other IT helpdesk. You just need valuable knowledge and certification. Thank you @David for this video, it really motivates me for moving ahead in networking field.
ОтветитьtHIS WAS REALLY WELL DONE.
Ответитьi enjoy your videos David that gives me motivation to study
ОтветитьSounds like you gotta be some sort of Cisco Mosiah to get a job there.
ОтветитьThe name of the song?? anyone.
ОтветитьAnyone have any connections in NC?? Thank you BLESS YOU 😂🙏
ОтветитьI am doing all I can to get in without my ex spouse as an internal referral 😂. Feel empowered doing so. RTP.
ОтветитьMost in my career I accepted new challenging job . Which even the Employers did know nothing. Within very short time they understood my Adaptability with new job. Then my CV/Resume became not that much Important and relevant . Resume and Interview is tiny and Joking when hiring a right Candidate.
ОтветитьThank you for sharing! I will not rest until I’m in the door 😅.
Ответитьi have a friend at Cisco, and it's just jean and a cap. He is a network engineer there.
ОтветитьThnanks David B, Recently sent my resume to Cisco , But this tips are important to prepair if they call to me . Do you have any trainnig for the CCNP Service Provider , Guy?
ОтветитьIn india it's all references.. most corrupt country in world

ОтветитьI got job interview from Cisco for customer service representative and it was online interview for home work job, and they are sending me a check that I deposit ASAP. Would it be scammed or legit. That email was sent from hr department from Cisco
ОтветитьI don't have a school degree and a college degree but I have cisco and microsoft vendor certifications also with few network vendor certificates. Can I apply at cisco for a job.
ОтветитьThank you for the content
Ответитьplease make a video about internships at cisco for students
ОтветитьSir, I've around 6 years of experience in Desktop support. But dicey about the Networking field as they are considering me as a fresher. So, should I go for the fresher profile as a Network engineer or not. In fact not getting proper opening regarding network engineer as the company required similar field experience for the same.
ОтветитьQuestion now if you don't have a degree and and you have certs without any exp can you get a job in networking? As long as you know your stuff? And if you have experience and certs of course you should be able to get a job.
ОтветитьThank you for the video!! I'm interviewing with Cisco for an Hardware Engineering intern position tomorrow so this helps a lot!
Ответитьi did not like it when he said that "he would put the resume in the garbage right away", this was disrespectful!
ОтветитьThank you David! You are awesome!
ОтветитьI love your videos David. Please keep going on. I appreciate all this great content.
ОтветитьExcellent video - Thanks for sharing
ОтветитьHey David, Jeff's mentality of putting actual knowledge ahead of a degree is pretty awesome. I was just hired by Cisco a month ago with only certifications, learned from your videos. Self education is very powerful and Cisco knows it.
ОтветитьGreat video David. Do you teach on CBT Nuggets or alternative platforms? I work for Cisco but as a red badge employee in management. But I have an interest to get my CCNA and looking for the best way possible, online.
Ответить👍
ОтветитьHow can I get a job in networking with no previous experience? I am CCNA Certified
ОтветитьHi thanks for this advices I'm 18 and I want to be a network engineer. I'm studying for the CCNA R&S, I just have a question (I came from Italy and in my country is a little bit different from USA) if I am Cisco certified can I consider myself a network engi?
Thanks a lot for those tips 😁
No
ОтветитьThank you for the video Mr. Bombal! I am glad that Cisco is thinking abount (and hopefully) removing the four year degree requirement.
ОтветитьMost needed video.
ОтветитьGreat video David, well-timed and muchly appreciated!
Ответитьso the "White Board" meme is true.
ОтветитьGreat video! Working at Cisco is the best thing in the world! I got in by doing a whole year of internship in their CX Academy and getting 3 certifications, (CCNA Data Center, R&S and CCNP R&S) also I worked as a TAC engineer in the Data Center Switching team, and I'm about to end the internship in 2 months (I started August last year) and they offer me already a full time job as an NCE (Network Consulting Engineer) for Data Center in SAN/UCS, if anyone is reading and it's about to finish college or just finished it, try to land an internship in Cisco, they'll give you everything to make you the best and probably give you a full time job just like me. BTW Cisco is my first job, I literally started in the internship the last semester of my colleague degree, so I really encourage everyone to try to land an internship in Cisco, it'll open you all the gates.
ОтветитьHi everyone!! Very good tips sharing David, Thanks for the content!
I recently graduated from ICT and have been selected for an online Interview from Cisco Mexico for a role of NCE where I graduated as a foreign student!!
In My Interview the guy who interviewed asked me some technical, personal and about Cisco.
So in the next step when recruiter got in touch with me she said that I did so well in the interview and now if I was able to relocated and about my legal work permit!
I was able for the relocation but I did not have the Legal Work Permit cause as a foreigner recent graduated abroad from University just have my Student Visa I answered to her, in the meantime I let her knew that it's easy getting my legal work permit just with a job offer letter signed by Cisco...
Later she contacted and said that I should first get that work permit and contact her because Cisco doesn't provide any letter as job offer to make the process of work permit.
So I missed that opportunity.
So my question is, why Cisco doesn't provide any letter to get a work permit to foreigners??
Because as foreigner to get the work permit in MEXICO it requires a letter from a company and then we can start working at any job!
Any suggestions would be very welcome!
Thanks!!
Fantastic video! Thank you.
ОтветитьIs it possible to get a job at Cisco with just CCNA RS? Or do I need a CCNA specialization at least? In addition to Python, Linux
