Please leave me any questions you may have. What things are you struggling with on your offset smoker? What are your favorite tips or tricks?
ОтветитьAs a beginner I also believe in using splits, can't understand using chips or tiny squares. 😅😅
One of the best vids i seen on the basics.

ОтветитьHey man cheers I just brought one it’s not a top of the line one bit thanx ur tips will b so useful
ОтветитьWow, thank you for the tip on having the right kind of smoke. I was using my traeger and meat had a dirty taste because I had to much white smoke. thanks again
ОтветитьIntro song title? Richard gene the fishing machine also uses the same song
ОтветитьIts best to get lump charcoal made from pressure treated lumber or railroad ties soaked in creosote.
ОтветитьThis was very helpful 🥰 Thank you so much for taking the time to explain it 🙏🏾🙏🏾
ОтветитьThanks bud! Very helpful!
ОтветитьI do have a question. When I first started trying to smoke food I was living in Colorado and was trying to smoke brook trout. I noticed that the cheap smoker that I bought (and many others) had a water pan to keep the air moist. Is that necessary with this type of smoker and in this relatively humid Ft Worth environment?
ОтветитьGood stuff! Thnx & Go Irish! 😉
ОтветитьGot my first smoker . I will not let you down thanks for all the tips. Great video
ОтветитьGreat guide, thank you.
ОтветитьThank you for taking the time to make the video. Early Father's day present with one abit similar. Been awhile since I cooked on an offset with charcoal, so again, my thanks!
ОтветитьThank you, I appreciate the video and tips.
ОтветитьAwesome tips. Just bought an offset last weekend. Just been doing normal grilling so far so good. But I want to smoke. This was very helpful as I hav NO idea on smoking. Lol. And I haven’t cooked with charcoal in at least 15 yrs. Thanks again.

ОтветитьThat a GRAVE in the background?!? Lol
ОтветитьGreat video. thank you!
ОтветитьHe seems like a really nice guy.
ОтветитьGreat video Sir! I learned a lot. Quick question, when the meat is already in the cooking chamber, you have a nice clear smoke, but you need to add more wood to the burning chamber, how do you avoid the dark smoke (taking into consideration that the meat is already in the cooking process)? Have a great day.
ОтветитьWhy do you level the smoker???
ОтветитьThanks for the video. I am from Libya and smoked meat and meat smokers do not exist here. We also do not have the types of wood you guys have in the US. So my questions are listed below:
1- Is it easy to construct a meat smoker?
2- we have olive tree wood, lime tree wood, orange tree wood, almond tree wood, peach tree wood, apricot tree wood, pear tree wood, and olive tree is the most common, do these types give a good flavor?
Fantastic video
ОтветитьLove that peaceful area. I live in Sydney, Australia. Can't wait to have my meats smoked in a nice rural town some point soon.
Ответитьit seems fitting that an ole ichagan fan talking about a lump of coal. 😂. seriously thanks for the video

ОтветитьJust bought one ..looking forward to my baptism of fire..thanks for the info.
ОтветитьI just found this channel today and I'm sad bc it seems like he quit the channel
ОтветитьThis is a great video but you should do one for us beginners on how to prep the fire and what to do to keep feeding it as necessary
ОтветитьTo start the fire also you can use a paper towel get it wet with cooking oil and that can also start it good with no after smell
ОтветитьThank you!!!!
ОтветитьExcellent
ОтветитьGreat advice thank you
ОтветитьIf you are cooking on both the upper and lower grates, how do you maintain the proper temperature on the upper grates? Obviously the upper will run hotter.
ОтветитьI would definitely not use a wire brush. I’ve known people that end up with a wire piece the bit into or swallowed.
ОтветитьJust got one of these, this was great vid thank you!
ОтветитьThis is great information, i Wish i knew this before, i didn't know that that's how you control the Temp
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video. I now feel confident that I will be able to operate a smoker by myself this summer
ОтветитьWhat if you don’t have another grill or area for a chimney starter?
ОтветитьJust came across your video. I am out here in California and the weather in my area is starting to get ready for great times! I appreciate your video here and I just bought myself a offset smoker from char grill so I will be using your teachings here to guide me. I will randomly hit you back up when I have my first go at it. I’ll also check out your videos. Thank you sir and God bless !
ОтветитьI've been using the same barrel smoker for 16 years and she's about done for. Thinking about getting an offset. Curious to see how different they are. Nice video. Thanks.
