How viable is early game expansion?

In regions far from Europe you don’t get institutions quickly without developing anyway, so you might as well spend admin on coring. Also some choose admin/humanist/religious ideas, so it’s inevitable that you spend 2700 admin. Being behind in tech and the neighbor bonus also makes spending admin viable. Another thing that helps reduce the use of admin is diplo annexation.

I think it’s important to keep expanding consistently but early on, high dev provinces in Europe are very costly in admin points and prohibitive with aggressive expansion. It takes absolutism and ccr stacking to conquer in Europe, and even then it takes several wars to full annex a major country. The only alternative is the PU, which isn’t consistent and difficult to pull off. How do you manage consistent expansion to wc?

think jaunpur is way easier to do this, you can full anex delhi at the start and get all their vassals, + bahmanis is shia and vij is hindu so way less sunni coalition
