Would’ve been nice if i knew not being stealthy would result in Dukes death. This is one thing i dislike about this game, it withholds some important information …

On ranger hardcore this is another game completely the enemies see through walls and you get 1 shot I don't remember this gane being so fucking annoying and unforgiven on the ps4 version but the fucking ps5 version straight up cheats

this bridge segment is utter bullshit for stealth LMFAO

started playing this game for the first time last week and i’m absolutely loving it!!👏 went through getting the tugboat and this mission without getting spotted and duke survived!

On run #40 right now on ranger hard-core. Can't get past the guards on the top floor

soo all my progress is gone cus i killed these weirdos......sorry duke not worth the 5 hours i spent here trying to complete this bs on ranger hardcore...

This isnt beginning, first you need be hidden nier ships ... .i give up

I just finished beating Volga without killing a single soul, bad guys or not. Only accidentally death was when I had to get the carriage and a bandit surrendered right on the train track, I couldn't even knock him or anything so I ran him over lol. It was all for Duke the man. My first play through he sacrificed himself well not this time.

Its funny how people struggle with this when I did it without knowing, I just went guns blazing at the start and then stealthy after the elevator, the weird part is I alerted the guards and just ran for the door. I never killed anyone tough

If you dont have a silencer then take the left path across instead of shooting that lock on the door

Don't kill any of these guys, including when you go to save Katya. Duke still died for me, had to restart the whole Volga chapter

I replayed the whole mission for my boy duke

the most emotional and satisfying feeling ive had in a long long time was simply saving duke. in my very first playthrough i didnt know i could save him and was devastated that he died. i can now sleep at night. 😊

I swear I killed a few people here and got the good ending somehow

I remember fucking up everything and being like...DUKE NO YOU NUMB SHIT WE GO TOGETHER!!! and I'm just further yelling at my tv screen and my sister walks in asking hey is everything ok?... And without context I cry out...I JUST LOST MY FRIEND!!!.....point of the story games can make you feel too

This game is a masterpiece

duke its easy to save just dont kill or shoot anyone (exept bandits)
try to make anything on stealth

Alright people i also had the same problem of duke dying glitch due to which i installed 3 different versions of this game . But i think i have found a solution so first dont touch any cultist like in church ,the 3 in outskirts of a bar near terminal and in the bridge also do all the side missions, kill each and every bandit in volga and yeah only ko the bandits who are surrendering and one more thing put your gun in holster and turn of your flash light and interact with the cultist who are fishing in the islet where they are talking about tsar fish .. now also interact peacefully with the father and son behind the area where you get the teddy bear listen to them completely and leave without doing anything kill that fucking fish in the terminal and yeah also there are 3 bandits in the area were you get the mask filtering upgrade kill or KO those bandits too. So simply eliminate all bandits but ko the surrendering ones dont even look at the cultist who are holding weapons and seems to be hostile do side missions interact with fishermen and father son pair and do everything quietly. Remember to do it stealthy with combination of KO as much as possible. And yeah i dont know if this is legit but just before entering the door where cultist leader is at the end of volga bridge change your difficulty setting to reader just for that moment. I wrote this tip just to help those guys who are frustrated. This is a good game and everyone deserves to play it . If this does not work then im really sorry everyone and if it works than enjoy. 🙏

i guess because i opened fire earlier on at the church i cant clear the mission without him dying so i have to restart now lol

I have been through this level so many times. I haven't killed a single cultist. My fellow Spartans keep praising me for how stealthy and peaceful I am, and Duke always dies. I heard someone speculate that shooting at all when you first encounter the guards on the bridge would count as killing as well, so I made sure not to fire a single shot during that encounter, just duck down.

I got the teddy bear, I got the guitar, I freed the four cultists, I tried killing the Tsar fish, I tried not killing the Tsar fish, I've captured the tug completely peacefully, everytime it ends the same with Silantias screaming that I will never be forgiven for killing his children. The people I haven't fired a single shot at. (No, I didn't gut any of them with my knife either.)

Is there a bug? I have done everything the walkthrough says I need to do, (multiple times now, just to make absolutely sure) and it always plays out the same way. I looked up this video because I was beginning to wonder if the whole thing was a joke, and it really was impossible.

Sneaked pass church and this, did not kill anyone. He still died.

This chapter screwed me over in iron mode + Ranger hardcore, alot of scripted sequence, dialog and cutscenes.

But bandits are not cults.... Do need kill bandits and keep cults alive? O.o

You can be to nice because the first time I played the game I killed ppl buck Duke survived but I hot the bad ending

Got the Guitar, got the Teddy, saved all the cultists, didn't kill a single one, didn't kill the Tsar Fish, stealthed my whole way through, and Duke still got killed

if anyone is having trouble, you have to be stealthy taking the boat and the bridge to save duke
