Hardinge HLV-H spindle bearings

This HLV-H was built in the early 60’s but the sealed / greased spindle bearings still appear to be running nicely on the original grease. For this test I ran the spindle at 100 rpm for about 30 min then up and down through the speed ranges. Took a skim cut on brass with a polished carbide insert. Then back down to 100 RPM with the Bestest and a drop of oil.
