General Pyotr Wrangel and his men found a new home after the end of the civil war in today's Serbia and Croatia, as a Croat I have the utmost respect for these people and the White Guard, may these Russian heroes rest in peace.

So apart from pogroms, plundering, the complete inability to agree on any constructive political agenda whatsoever, they would have made a great government had they only won the war. That they lost despite material superiority and vast international support. These men were geniouses. Too bad they didnt get The chance to fuck up even more.

My family was made up of Germans living in the Crimea and northern Taurida. Though his regime was short-lived, my family always held the White Army in high regard because of the Black Baron. Had it not been for him, they would not have survived the civil war, as they'd have most likely been the target of the anarchist Black Army.

Having lived in Russia for 5 years, I can say that Wrangel's statement "Russians are inclined to pass in one moment from complete depression to the most radiant optimism" is still surprisingly accurate.

While I admit I have a strong dislike against Russians, to put it mildly, whit the questioning and the threatening of the sovereignty of my country, constant hurls from the Russian government and their loyal orc horde army, and snake den of a liar that would even make Joseph Goebbel proud, I have to say, the Russians of old have my begrudging respect. So I say this with full conviction, I am happy to know great and honorable men like Pyotr Wrangle have long since passed, for it saves them the horror and shame of seeing what has happened to the soul of the Russian people. It once was pure that God could smile upon it, now it is abys of tar in a rotting carcass that somehow still draws breath. May God have the remaining good people of Russia that do not swear allegiance to the Kremlin.

"Save"? Wrangel was an asshole, a very ordinary fascist who tried to keep power in his region in order to rob him harder and dump him with all the resources. Crimea was his patrimony, where the banditry of the military raged to the maximum.
"The evacuation went smoothly" - yes, they fled in panic, while they frankly didn't care about people. I read the memoirs of the whites two or three years ago, there were pictures of how a pig for slaughter was given greater priority when loading on a ship than people. The whole story from beginning to end is complete nonsense, which can only be believed by those who first heard about these events and have never read or read a single line of material about these events in their lives, which allows the authors to openly lie.
