Good but to fast in particularly for the LTE backup!!! You said that is working in combination of WAN1 and WAN2 but is not clear.
For example can I've a configuration in load-balancing in which:
PC1 --> use WAN1
WAN1 --> FAIL
PC1 --> use WAN2
THEN, in case of fail of both WAN2 and WAN1
PC-> use the LTE!!!
Wie bündelt man?
ОтветитьMate, could i ask. My company have 200 users with 600 devices maximum. I want to build a server room with unifi solution, include 12 access points, udm se ascontroller (to sso with azure), 2 poe sw, 2 router running load balance failover mode, when the main router got proplem, the secondary router will continue. So which unifi model/ version can help me ?
As I know 2 unifi routers can not load balance as active-passive mode, right?
Any solution for this if I need router backup in case one router got problem ?
it is a link to switch over fiberoptic as well, right?
Ответитьcan we prioritize upload through wan2 ?
ОтветитьGuys, when it will be available for UDM Pro?
ОтветитьAfter 9 months and still nothing done on the UDM PRO , we have to reconsider the definition of the word 'soon' in Ubiquiti! Unbelievable i have to give up on my DMP only because it doesn't has this feature yet.
Ответитьhow to use Load Balancing and fail over at same time?
ОтветитьThe video explicitly states the use-case for limiting social media traffic and routing that traffic out of WAN 2 while keeping WAN 1 for primary business use, however I can't see how to do this.
In traffic management, the rules section allows you to block, allow or speed limit types of traffic and this can be picked on app or app group which is great. However when moving over to the Routes section, those apps and app groups are not available. The only way to add a route is by domain name, IP address or region.
Am I missing something obvious here?
I expected to be able to select App or App Group in the routing section - or at least be able to select the traffic rule I created and route that - but this doesn't appear to be possible.
Can anyone assist please?
UDM Pro ?!?!?
ОтветитьWill you be creating a 5G failover device?
ОтветитьIs this functionality added to Unifi for the USG-PRO-4?
ОтветитьWish the UDM-P could do this.
ОтветитьIs it possible to use a tethering router with 5g tethering?
Ответитьdual wan load balancing and failover can be set at the same time?
ОтветитьLovely...if only this bludy worked on a UDM Pro. No distributed option there.
Ответитьso wan1 =10mb wan2=20mb then loadbalancing create 30MB single IP ?
ОтветитьI love this expert corner!. Quick question, is this feature available now on UDM-PRO?. Thanks so much!
ОтветитьCan someone tell me what to do if one is faster at download whereas the other is faster at upload? I have WAN1 at 1200/35 and WAN2 at 200/100. The load balancing ratio doesn't help for both download and upload then. What option do I have left?
ОтветитьLoad balancing for the nonsense does an edge router x do it, not more expensive like the sfp+ module? In times of home office, fast VPN like Wireguard is in demand! Which cloud do you actually sleep in?
ОтветитьBoth of these capabilities are nice, but the failover is way too sensitive and seems to use latency as the determinant for the network being out of service. The only way I’ve been able to get my UDM SE to behave is to physically disconnect the secondary WAN connection. My primary is a wireless LTE connection as I am very rural and this has higher latency but more bandwidth than the terrible DSL service I get here (backup connection). Unfortunately LTE is subject to some packet loss and variable latency/jitter and so the UDM SE was constantly failing over and as there is no control over how tolerant the failover is, it made the feature useless for me at the moment
ОтветитьHello, do you have a forecast to make Load Balance available for UDM-PRO?
ОтветитьWould it be possible to make a video explaining how throughput is affected in relation to threat management settings? I would love to hear your breakdown on that particular matter more than anything. Thank you for all your hard work. I appreciate your time.
ОтветитьSupport for UDM Pro ???
ОтветитьCan you cover optimizing network settings for WiFi calling? That would be a great topic.
Ответить𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙢 😊
ОтветитьCan you have more than one backup connection?
ОтветитьHow would I load balance between two VPN interfaces?
Ответитьany eta on the UDM pro fix?
ОтветитьCan I use wan 1 for LAN and WLAN and wan 2 for guest wifi only but still be able to have wan 2 as failover for wan 1 ?
Ответитьcan we talk about VPN connections in a failover situation? with the uLTE, we cannot use our site-to-site VPN as the WAN changes on that uLTE. We try our best to stay in the unifi ecosystem, but we also rely on a site-to-site.
ОтветитьAbout time.
ОтветитьGood
ОтветитьStatic rule usg-pro-4 support?
ОтветитьFixed traffic option not supported in usg pro 4?
ОтветитьSo when will this be available for UDM Pro ?
ОтветитьOn switch 😱, awesome. But security...
ОтветитьDoes load balancing now works with VPN access? That never worked with the USG. So you had to choose between LB oder VPN access…
ОтветитьMuy buenos productos y muy buena tecnología saludos desde México
ОтветитьThis was a perfect overview while hitting all of the important points!
ОтветитьSo much easier than routerOS
ОтветитьMultiple wan IP addresses to a wan port connection? Anyone Buller anyone? Lol
ОтветитьSo you give this function to the SE and router first but not the largest Pro installation base? We are the group who has been waiting the longest for something that should’ve been there long ago. Explain this BS treatment of your loyal users Unifi Expert.
ОтветитьImplement a SDWAN out of the box setup, with the cloud portion as a monthly or yearly fee. !!
ОтветитьGood video, clearly and confidently presented. Thank you, look forward to a working setup on UDM Pro
Ответить"UXG Pro will be coming very soon! " yes.. just like teleport
ОтветитьThis won’t increase your download speed. A single 1GB file won’t download any faster, but if you’re downloading two 1GB files it will be twice the speed.
Personally I wouldn’t bother with this, instead I would use MPTCP bonding to combine your two WAN connections into a single connection. Say if you had two 80Mbps connections you could create a single 160mbps connection. If you visit Speedtest it would say 160. Very useful for places where you can get maybe 80 down but only 20 up. You could essentially have a 160/40 connection.
Unfortunately Ubiquity isn’t doing this, and I doubt they’ll do it in the future as it requires a server on the other end to stitch the packets back together
First
ОтветитьWhen I bought the udm pro I expected what I read about it. I have never had so much fun with a router. It's like a piece of art with the GUI. Can't wait to get the doorbell to yell racial slurs at the neighbors for playing music too loudly and waking people in the house up
