S&W Shield Plus

Looking into getting one? Any words of advice or encouragement?

When I can't carry a full size vp9 or pdp I carry a shield plus. I dont care for the smaller guns like p365 or hellcat because its small and easy enough to conceal. Just a great gun and easy to shoot. It's a bargain when S&W runs their promo rebates and throws in 3 free magazines.

I’ve had a lot of light primer strikes!!! Took same rounds into Sig all same rounds went bang

I have a S&W Shield 9mm and replaced the Henge Trigger with a Hyve Monarch Trigger (flat face). A very real improvement. I now also have a S&W 9mm Shield Plus.. With the new Trigger the Shield shoots as good as my Shield Plus. I am keeping Both. Also The Equalizer 15 round mags fits the Shield Plus. I also replaced the Barrels with Threaded Barrels.3 5.8 inch. Better lock up and a Great improvement.

My 2¢ opinion. I think this is the best OVERALL pistol on the market!!!!! Simple, reliable, proven, affordable, customizable, and EDC ready. You can't beat it!!!

what aftermarket sights fit this gun? i can only find sights for the regular shield but not the shield 9 plus. do they interchange between the two guns?

I'm an M&P Fan. I do occasionally, carry the M&P Shield Plus, Three Inch version. It's a fun Gun! Cool video!

I like the plus a lot, the texture is a little more aggressive than I like but that’s fixable. The slightly large size of the grip is more comfortable and the finish on the slide is improved. The trigger in better than my OG shields but the reset is marginal at best.

Having some problems with my Taurus G3C. I love my GX4 but you’ve sold on the Shield Plus. Ordered the optic ready version today.

mine has a safety👍 & no nite sights . bummer . & mine has more slide slop , left & right. which I'll fix myself & then I'll have 50% better groups🥂😊. love the grip 👍👍

I’ve always wondered. Why 88/88. The connotation is risky. I don’t believe you intend the connection but why and how are you dodging the heck from SPLC and other fanatics.

I love my new plus I've been a m&p man sense the gen 1 never have had 1 miss fire ,jams or fell to extract

It's amazing how they made the grip only 1/16" wider and went from 7 and 8 to 10 and 13 rounders.

How the hell did you drop that slide with your thumb?! 😂 How did you get 13 rounds into the magazine?! I have a blood blister on my thumb trying to do that.

I believe the Plus has enough grip to actually be able to grab the pistol undear stress. The Hellcat and P365 are so small to a fault. Good luck having enough “real estate” to solidly grasp your weapon under enormous mental stress. No one ever mentions that point. Choose wisely.

The reset isn’t very tactile, travels too far to reset, and sometimes has a double click.

My favorite carry gun. They nailed it with this pistol.

You can only use optics on the PC not the 3.1. I now wish I knew that before I got the base plus. But the Performance Center is a 4" and will fit the optics sights.

I bought the 43x an the sheild plus in the end the glock feels better in my hand an other then the smith having the worst Safety ever not a bad gun

Glocks and S&W both are equally reliable, but S&W seems better made and robust.

How does this shoot compared to the Glock 43?

Just traded my original Shield for the Plus. I love it but ouch. The texture is rubbing my side raw. This is going to be a big issue for me this summer when I will only be wearing a T-shirt. I have carried a Shield everyday since 2015 without any problems. This has really thrown me for a loop.

I carry a Shield Plus Performance Center. Shes ported and fires smoothly. First round i fired was dead on at 50yrds. Made my day hearing that steal ring.

Just bought this gun today. Brought it home and turns out my front orange night sight doesn't glow. Called s&w and they have a replacement coming in the mail free of charge. Excellent customer service. Can't wait to shoot it.

I just bought the shield plus which optics work? I heard that the holosun 507k won't sit right. I want to buy an red or green dot optic that just fits.

Can you recommend red dot for the S&W Shield 9 with optics ready with 3.1" barrel. Great content.

I love my Shield Plus. Not only is it a great shooter, it carry's very comfortably all day.

I bought the shield 9 plus when it first came out no night sights and no plate fro optic. I have taken it to the range 3 times and for me unfortunately I just can’t shoot it as i am consistently 2-3 inches to the right all the time. Not with my g19 gen 5 mos, Sig p320 x compact RXP, or p365 but these three guns have red dots. I am going to see if this works good for my wife hopefully it works good for her. Otherwise I will sell it. For me I’m bummed because I wanted to carry it and like it.
