What time of the year did you hike it?
ОтветитьWith these videos surely take what works for u.
ОтветитьGreen isn’t a strange color…..😅
ОтветитьI'm doing this on the 30th of June over ten days, we are camping though. All carrying one man tents.
ОтветитьSince when is 2 years old for a jacket?
ОтветитьTwo T-shirts and two slips are optimal. Change in the evening and wash the used ones while showering.
ОтветитьBag liners are mandatory in huts. Get a light one made from silk.
ОтветитьGet some rainproof trousers for keeping you dry and warm in bad weather at high altitudes.
ОтветитьI would disagree that buying “more expensive” is always better. You could easily do the hike in more budget friendly gear (eg Decathlon), and be just as comfortable. You really don’t need Pradagonia caps, or Nike undies etc, non brand stuff will do the job just ad well
Ответитьwhat about boots ? thanks
ОтветитьThis is great - loved the full film also, so thanks! Subscribed
ОтветитьWere there any snowy patches you came across in September where you would recommend packing cleats/micro spikes? We’ll be on the main trail for a majority of the time, with the exception of the Fenêtre d’Arpette variant. Thank you!
ОтветитьThank you for this!! Which month of the year you went to TMB please?
ОтветитьHow much was the weight of your backpack? I'm going camping and I'm an amateur vlogger and at the moment the weight of my backpack is 15kg (which decreased 400 gram of food / day). I'm doubting if this is really too much weight or ''maximum amount weight that is okay''.
ОтветитьMaybe a stupid question but did you fly out from the UK and if so, how did you get the various items (scissors, trekking poles etc.) thru in luggage? Having had tent pegs/penknives confiscated before am always intrigued. + its a worry checking the bag as hold luggage without securely wrapping. Great channel content BTW!
ОтветитьPLEASE convert units in kilograms as well
ОтветитьWhich month did you hike?
The timing you hiked is useful for better understanding and preparation. Thanks.
Thank you so much, David, for your report. it was wonderful! I hiked the TMB in Jun/Jul 2021 and again in 2022. My key items were: (1) a washcloth that is terrycloth on one side and mesh on the other. The mesh gives you a really good scrub down when you shower after the day's trek. I felt so clean afterwards! (2) Flip flops, lightweight, rather than crocs. This saved weight and they cost less than $5 US. (3) A book to read. it was nice to unwind in my bunk at the mountain hut for a while before and after dinner. I would choose an older, small and lightweight paperback mystery to save on weight and space. (4) Sea to Summit dry bag, different sizes and colors of different kinds of items. One was my "evening bag" and held my paperback, ear plugs, head torch, sleeping bag liner, and phone (alarm clock)--basically the things I'd need to settle in for the night.
ОтветитьReally nice vid as always! Keep up the good work.
ОтветитьGood information 👍🏻
Ответитьthank you- good footage~👐
