ОтветитьI am so proud of this tradition....
ОтветитьI thourougly enjoyed this video!!! Mamady gives wonderful interviews, and every time I hear him, he gives different details and nuance. This is the first time I saw this video, and this has taught me some more things than I have heard, before!! Like for instance, the sounds of the djembe, This is the most detail that I have heard about the history of the djembe, outside of an informal interview with Famoudou Konate' a few years ago. I also enjoyed his explanation of the Mandingue Empire/Culture. Good interview, Brian!!
ОтветитьLove this video....have been missing the rhythms just watching this. Have inspired me to get on with my learning and playing the djembe....thanks for this
Ответитьle voodoo c aussi une cérémonie ! et avant tout informe toi le djembé n'est qu'un instrument
Ответитьwow! awesome history. Very informative
Ответитьwhat is the name of the last rhythm played?
Ответитьa good historian , and there a lot of mandinko in my country Gambia they are the majority and with a good cultural background.. Africa nice ..
ОтветитьI wish I can go through the entire program at Tam Tam Mendingue and have a chance to meet Mamady. I love the background of the Djembe and learning to respect and love the instrument and not just something for us to bang on. Learning to appreciate the djembe and in turn pass on the knowledge from one generation to another. There is energy in music that is raised by the bond of a musician and their instrument. Thank you Mamady for all you have done!
ОтветитьThis video is a great inspiration to keep practicing.
ОтветитьThank you for sharing this.. It's really opened my eyes to not just what I'm playing but also why and maybe to think about when I play particular rhythms. Is there a possibility to find out what songs are for which occasions? When to play and when not to play particular songs?
Ответитьlovely dundun player :)
