I think the better you get as a "modern photographer" the more it becomes about being good with your camera skills rather than relying on editing software to compensate for poor shooting ability.
ОтветитьWhat kind of lens do you have standing on your desk?
ОтветитьI mean that is just how you would prefer that picture to look like. I like it more saturated and vibrant like it came out of the camera. It's just about personal taste. So there is nothing wrong with editing your photos to the way you personally like it. So there is nothing wrong with doing it in another way than you do.
ОтветитьUgh I’m so in tune with the Instagrammy filters that the desaturated look doesn’t look right to my eye. Need to retrain.
ОтветитьLoved the video! funny at 9:61 "lets desaturate that slightly" and goes ahead and dials down a -60
Ответитьlove this kind of content pete
ОтветитьI do it in Davinci Resolve and is awesome, Photoshop is overrated 😮, the whole Adobe thing is overrated 😂
ОтветитьOcean pic was gorgeous
Ответитьdon't be THAT GUY
ОтветитьYou are OK at Lightroom. But you are GREAT as a content creator.
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьIf you do bulk editing like a wedding photographer, which I am, Lightroom is way more efficient use of my time. People rely on presets too often and unless your photo was in the exact same lighting it can look off.
I do not sort in lightroom though. For about 8 years I’ve used Photomechanic and then moved the good from the bad and only import the good photos.
I switched to narrative select now as it has a lot of features I wanted in photomechanic that it doesn’t have.
I don't know if I missed it but, what color profile were these photos shot in? Since his editing style for them is so minimal.
Ответитьdear God this guy is up his own arse
ОтветитьYou mentioned and S-shape for the tone curve: what’s this about?
ОтветитьI never use Lightroom, it's so much like Instagram for me. Photoshop is KING!!!
ОтветитьShoot Peter I download my videos off you tube studio and edit on my iPhone makes life so much easier. Also my thumbnails. I’ve noticed my views have gone up making it more appealing.
Let’s go fishing in Texas Peter I have places that would boggle your mind with clear water that look like glacial water.
Ok, there was some good stuff there but as Finn your pronounciation of "sauna" just hits different. 10/10
ОтветитьGreat editings, thank you!!
ОтветитьIn wich preset pack can i find the "Golden Hour Lift" Preset?
ОтветитьI heard of you, but never saw a video of you. This is my first. Nothing new. I stick to the point. Thanks!
Ответитьwhat app are you using?
ОтветитьBullshit
Ответитьdon’t tell people what to do
ОтветитьNever stop doing the thing! We love the thing! Lol.
ОтветитьThanks dude for this video, I've been in a weird rut in my editing and this gave me the boost and reminder I needed to keep it simple! Just edited a dope gallery bc of your tips. (Took out the yellow that I hate and boom beautiful photos haha-Been a photographer for years, always learning and relearning!)
ОтветитьPeter, first off thank you for this video. I am new to lightroom and what can be done. I started learning photography drom my oldest brother and have been kicking myself in the ass since the 80's. Cause my priorities were screwed up. I didn't pursue what I was learning and should have. I haven't gotten anything from lightroom yet but, I am looking into that. If you wouldn't mind giving me a direction to get the editing programs software I want to turn my passion into a business.
Ответить<Watches video.....feels....inadequate.......orders 121fps neon sign to overcompensate>
Ответитьwhat are you using to edit
ОтветитьWhat’s the best autofocus mode to use on this camera?
ОтветитьPeter, I haven't watched your videos since the pandemic hit but this is the kind of videos I enjoy.
ОтветитьI didn't get the conclusion of this content sir, can you help me to give the conclusion at the end of your video. Thanks, dude
ОтветитьUm, I don’t want to make photographs like that, it looks dull and turned off. It’s neat that that’s what you do, but I’m going to photograph what’s there.
ОтветитьNew follower cuz of this video alone
ОтветитьYou've confirmed something for me , that I was contemplating for the longest ... Messing around with the HSL and curves to get a better edit than just doing the sliders . I'm going give these photos I shot another edit to see what I can really put out .
Ответитьthis guy looks so punchable
ОтветитьPeter, that may be so for portraits of people from the tundra. I think a few days in the sun in Central Texas or Southern California might make darker skin tones a little more realistic. Whatcha think?
ОтветитьLove the subtle edits. I only edit due to the lack of funds to purchase a high end camera, so I do subtle edits to improve the look of lower end cameras
ОтветитьYou, Sir, are the Bob Ross of photograpy editing🙌🏻 a couple of years ago it felt like it was all about bumping the reds, now it’s so subtle and refined. You gotta love it.
ОтветитьMonitor is still shaking :P
ОтветитьThink you'll ever switch to Capture One? I've never really liked Lightroom.
ОтветитьAs a photo editing begginer, i have a question: why all yt videos used to drop the saturation of greens? What is the problem of having the alive vibe on fields and trees?
ОтветитьAnd again.. just THANK you for that incredible lesson 🤙
Ответитьlove love love this
ОтветитьHey Pete it is Spring :D Happy to see your new Preset
ОтветитьThank you for correcting your pronunciation of "sauna" lmao
Ответитьwonderful video, I am inspired to try out your style
ОтветитьSuch a difference from how you were editing 3 or 4 years ago when I first started to follow you. I still like the boldness of color but do see how toning that done creates another effect. I struggle with over saturating my edits, really noticed on some I did yesterday.
