I snuck into the family room past my bedtime when I was in 2nd grade to watch this movie. I was obsessed with ray charles, and for as long as I can remember, hit the road jack has been my favorite song. I then proceeded to write a long summary of the movie for my journal assignment that my teacher read. Apparently, all the teachers in the school ended up reading it. They kept copies of it because they thought it was funny that a 7 y/o would write that.

Jaimie Foxx is always a great treat to watch but this is probably my favourite of his roles . I think he's among the absolute best of his era 🤗

Jamie Foix you are the greatest man to have played Ray Charles. I have watched hundreds of movies on real life actors lives' and I need to say this is the best portrayed move i have ever watched. Ray Charles life. I don't think there is another actor that could of done this movie any better. Nope! Jamie Fox you are such a great actor in many of your movies but this one will forever remind me of what Ray Charles went threw. I have seen many segregated movies on the Black People, but as for black stars and their lives. Ray Charles your life touched my heart. I do not pretend to know about black people how can I. I'm white. I'm just grateful to Jamie Fox for making this movie. He must of walked threw this movie with his heart in his brain. No other actor could make Ray Charles life prouder. Ray you are gone but will never be forgotten threw this iconic movie,.

All right a special thanks to jamie foxx who plays this wondrrfull role of american black music legend. RIP Ray Charles, you help black people keep their head up. Like James Brown.😎RESPECT

Up till now didn't have an interest for watching
now that old film.
Fortunately something changend my mind.
Though I know most Ray Charles songs...
have been hearing them on the radio all my life,
I did not know his life story.
Impressive story worth seeing...once. For me enough.
I would like to remember him and listen to his song
to the rest of my life like I did before watching this film.
Not sorry that I saw it. But as I sad. Once as a simple info is more than enough.
The film is produced perfectly. Jamie Foxx is really a exceptional
actor. Saw him lately in very different roles. He can be anybody.
Transformation to the character is magicaly complete.
Would do injustice not to praise all the other actors and people
who did a great job.

Maybe this movie is not a masterpiece but still very good movie but Jamie Foxx is fantastic
