Reckless attack is good enough that you can ignore it's downsides entirely and use it 100% of the time and still comfortably complete the game

I love tanks, I love Rage but I don't like basic attacking an entire game. How can I multiclass my barb and give him some flavour?

Interesting build is berserker with 3 levels of thief. This way you have 2 bonus actions for smashing.

In baldurs gate 1 and 2, My character was a female half-orc (fighter)berserker that dual weilds long swords, is tha possible in BG3?

Wild Magic Barbarian is a homebrew by Taliesin Jaffe and Matt Mercer for Critical Role and Taliesin's Barbarian character "Ashton". I'm sure it probably existed in different ways prior to that but afaik that's where it became popularized.

This will be my first play through. I'd like to create a Guts inspired character. I'm not familiar with d&d and RPG games and the amount of information is overwhelming so I figured I'll play an easier character for my first run.

Barbarian with a Monk. Since rage isn't tied to Str the high Dex and mobility would work well.

One thing I think you could have included in the 2-level dip into Fighter MC is how strong picking up fighting style could be for barbs, with Great Weapon Style and a Great Weapon Mastery feat being an absolute damage parade of maxed out extra attacks.

Or if you're feeling spicy, a two-weapon style/mastery to get less bursty damage and extra attacks but potentially more proc effects and +1 AC.

the BG3 Berserker is exactly how I Homebrewed the class in my Game.
Seriously, I have no idea why it had this drawback to begin with, an extra attack as a bonus action is not really that much stonger than what Totem or Zealot Barbarians get,

Barb, everything is now a projectile.
Seriously can pick up some heavy things and stuff them in inventory. Toss that 40kg barrel of liquid, toss that chest, toss those crates. Some of these maps you are like 2-3 stories high. Javelins hurt a ton from up high, but a chest can squish 3 goblins. Or throw an enemy and push another one.

I wonder if I can make a Conan-like barbarian? Conan wasn't dumb, quite the contrary actually. He was incredibly skillful swords and bows, and his tactics were really genius, but I think they came mostly through instinct. Also Conan definitely had high charisma & dexterity, and an almost primitive fear/hate of magic and supernatural things. I don't think Conan would hang out with wizards or sorcerers though, in the books he's constantly hating on them lol. Yeah I don't think that would work to well in BG3.

I watched a video about Paladin breaking oath, which create kinda diff class (really reminded me lore accurate Death knight from warcraft) - so cant you be oath breaker if you are multiclass barb/pal?

Imps with crossbows in the game? Nox flashbacks;). The low level imps in that game had blow guns but the higher level ones had crossbows as well.

My favourite thing about playing as a berserker in early access was the dialogue options they get. Very entertaining

I know most benefits are gained at even levels but I am trying to figure out if you went fighter/barb and dipped a point into rogue for the backstab ability, would it be worth it? 1 level rogue for the backstab, 2 in fighter for surge, the rest in Barb.

Doing a Berserker with the Dark Urge origin and RPing as Logan Ninefingers looks mighty tempting

How feasible would a barbarian multiclassed with a ranger be so you have the brutish hulk but also get the pets from the ranger Beastmaster.

Was kind hoping there would be more Ranged options. Would love to play a rage filled “gunner” type character with crossbows.

Just imagine a dude who’s so angry that he doesn’t wait until he’s right next to you to attempt bloody murder, he just sends a volley of bolts in your direction hoping to turn you into Swiss cheese. All you hear is screaming and suddenly you have 20 new holes in your body.

Never played a barbarian but ooft this introduction to them is tempting me

In the past whenever i tried barb they were cool but they always had 2 main problems : 1) you lose control and they attack rest of the group or npc so you must run or cast hold person , kill and rez him ecc... 2) in rage/frenzy status they become a piece of glass and they easily get killed or even 1shot by bosses. Did they change this?

can Fighter do jump attack from above , throw things like barb ?

Berserker was so fun in early game, I'm picking up so many items and just throwing them when I can't reach things during rage to keep it going.

Do they have healer's kits in BG3, and if so how do they work?

I wonder if they still have the Gnomish trait in this game where they get advantage on Intelligence, Wisdom AND Charisma saving throws from Magic.

Gnomish Barbarian, sounds weak, until you consider the ignored aspects.
