Thank you soooooo much...the first method worked right away for me on ubuntu 22.04 kernel 6.5.0. I have been struggling with wifi weak signal since yesterday, it connected to my mobile hotspot with no issue but couldn't connect to the router. Thanks😄
Ответитьyou can use USB tethering from phone, if you do not have ethernet adaptor
ОтветитьThanks alot man
ОтветитьWhen doing the command sudo mokutil --disable-validation, I get
"EFI variables are not supported on this system". I'm on 22.04
so i recently installed ubuntu 22.04, and right off the bat i didn’t even have a wifi option, no icon or anything. i was able to work past it by hooking up a mobile hotspot via usb to my computer, but after about a week of having that it all of a sudden stopped reading the internet from the hotspot. it would recognize the phone being plugged in, but wouldn’t connect to the hotspot. bluetooth has never worked either, so i have no way of updating anything on my laptop. i’ve yet to try connecting my wifi box to my laptop via ethernet cable, but i’m going to try and do this soon. is there any explanation for these issues? i haven’t tried following the steps of your video yet due to not having an ethernet cable yet, but i will once i get one, i was just wondering if there’s any explanation for this?
Ответитьwill rebooting erase my all data?
ОтветитьThank you very much man. It had Worked for Me. Always while installing drivers , we must ensure that Secure Boot option is not activated. If it is activated , we will not be able to see any third party WiFi or any other bluetooth network ; "sudo mokutil --disable-validation" was the game changer. After that Reboot your system. Your system will be able to scan third party WiFi or any other bluetooth connections
Ответитьi have TP-Link usb wifi adapter , after installing the drivers i can see the networks but it would not connect! still searching around
ОтветитьIf I had wired internet I could fix this problem myself.
ОтветитьI'm even turning on post notification
ОтветитьDuuuuuuuuuuudddeeeeeee i am soooo happy 😅😅😅😅thanks mate
ОтветитьThanks. Method 2 worked for 22.04 lts. Saved me. Many thanks.
ОтветитьIt's stuff like this that are driving me insane about Linux. The most basic of problems require the most obscure solutions that take ages to find. Thanks 👍
ОтветитьThanks a lot, this was so helpful!
ОтветитьThanks a Lot, I didn't expect it to work after many other tricks failed but this one is a gem, it worked.
ОтветитьThank you so much, you've earned a sub
ОтветитьTried this but all I see is "No Additional Drivers available "
ОтветитьThanks bro, your video is very helpful.
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьNot working for me :-( Installed Ubuntu 22.04 on one laptop, and upgraded from 18.04 to 20.04 on another (both are Dell XPS). On both laptops it recognizes the wifi signal, but then just sits there trying to connect. Wifi worked without problems before (with older Ubuntu versions), and still works fine on my phone. Nothing I have tried so far solves the problem. Your solution not either, unfortunately...
ОтветитьIt worked for me by disabling the secure boot. Thank you.
ОтветитьI just relocated to another country, my wifi was fine, now it doesn't show. I followed the instructions. Now my Dell laptop boots in insecure mode but the wi fi still doesn't show any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
Ответитьthans dude its the only solution
ОтветитьThis hasn't solved a thing for me, it made icons on the screen wider..that's it. Please help, I'm unable to access the internet.
ОтветитьIf you have a laptop you can connect an Ethernet into your laptop and connect the other end into your pc!!!! Easiest and cheapest way to do this
Ответитьsynaptic package manager worked.... thanks man
ОтветитьWhen attempting to disable secure boot, it tells me "EFI variables are not supported on this system." how do i fix this?
ОтветитьHi, this did not work for me
ОтветитьIt didn't work. What can I do?
ОтветитьBro, you just saved me. I did the synaptic thing and also disabled secure boot and my WIFI is working perfectly now; you are a genius. Greetings from Germany.
ОтветитьYou are a life saver man
ОтветитьBro my wifi button wasn't even showing up but ur last fix solved my problem
Ответитьyeah my didnt work and i tried all of the things in this video
ОтветитьI have (rtl8188eus) 802.11n wifi adapter it doesn't work with any linux os.
ОтветитьWhen running the mokutil command I'm getting "EFI variables are not supported on this system". Any idea what is going on? I just upgraded to 20.04.4 and wifi was working before. My computer is able to see the wifi but unable to connect, it tries and times out.
My card is the Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 with an ath9k driver.
Your videos have helped me with the same problem years ago, thank you for the content!
Thank you so much! I thought I had to buy a new WiFi card for my laptop. Your fix worked perfectly on Ubuntu 22.04.
ОтветитьThank you very much!! Installing synaptic and the rtl88xx drivers and disabling secure boot fixed my problems!
I was having several disconnection issues and really poor signal on my wifi but this helped me fix it. I really appreciate it
Fucking hate ubuntu i just got a new pc and it has ubuntu
ОтветитьYou are great
ОтветитьI had some issues with wifi when installed ubuntu 21.04 first time. But then after some actions i got it and it was ok. But today i started my pc and apparently wifi just disappeared. And pc was in "plane mod" or something. I turned it off but wifi didnt appear. I tried all the solutions from your video but still no wifi
ОтветитьYou're a life saver, thanks for the video and explanation 👍
ОтветитьI have two wifi-adapters that suddenly disappeared from Ubuntu 20.04, and the reason was this: I have a dual boot setup with Windows, and I had to disable the internal wifi card on my main board (intel) to make sure Ubuntu was recognizing the USB-wifi. Crazy, but worked for me.
ОтветитьAs a noob, your speed running of this makes it difficult to follow, bro slow down.
Ответитьyou are a G E N I U S....once again G E N I U S .... Thank you man! The really one method that really works.
ОтветитьThanks, really...Thanks!!!!!!!!
