So I have 1070 with i7 6700K and 16GB RAM and i have 40 fps in high settings and you´re saying that a 4090 cant handle ultra??? come on boys, you dont be near to a PC in your life, just scumhaters.

2020: Cyberpunk 2077 and RTX 3090 - 17 FPS
2023: Starfield and RTX 4090 - 17 FPS

Im not saying it's optimized, But im not having any dips in fps. And im having a 4090. only played like 10/15 hours. maby it comes later in the game.

My 4090 has zero issues running the game well into triple digit FPS territory, everything maxed.

I sometimes wonder if Bethesda even knows any engineers.

I am playing it on a 4090 and 4 k ultra and have solid FPS. solid as in below 100 but above 60 fps :D

Odd, native 4K, all eye candy, I get my TV's 60 FPS almost constantly. It can dip in cities, but it isn't that much.
I haven't checked what I get at my monitor's 1440p, but it's never noticeably lagged.
I haven't tried 8K though.

That aside, I did expect better graphics despite being pretty good as is. But, I think it might be time for a new engine I guess? I am not well versed enough in graphical engines to weigh in on that.

The development has gotten lazy, to the point where they use better hardware as an excuse. Developers used to try to figure out how to make their games good with very limited resources, and anything better was just a plus. Just look at games like Uncharted 4, Heavy Rain, Demon's Souls remastered. They weren't made for that good hardware, but they certainly look like they were.

Don't think this is GPU problem, but a CPU problem.
4090 sits mostly idle while CPU hits 100% in one of the cores.

looking at the comment section, people talking only about how badly the games runs on nivida, you guy know bethseda signed a exclusive deal with amd right? that is why we dont have nivida functions in the game and why it runs like trash on nivida cards. also optimized could use alot of work.

the fact that bethseda thought it was a good idea to allow amd an exclusive deal like this is crazy, only reason we dont have dls is couse bethseda let amd pay them for exclusive rights, like graphic functions shouldnt be allowed to do shit like this. and bethseda shouldnt be stupied enough to accept such a horrible deal that is against the customers and the quality of the game.

I am using RX7900 XT running in 2K resolution , HIGH graphic setting , FPS about 30-40 . If using this HARDWARE to play STAR CITIZEN , FPS never higher than 20 , 🤣

No wonder they’re probably merging the player counts of the Xbox and steam versions of the game to lie about the player base just like Disney+ lied about the subscribers. Cyberpunk and elden ring still probably have more players across all platforms. Why do you think they can afford to put Minecraft on PlayStation but not Starfield? Their ONE exclusive that they have.

If you like running from one load screen to the next, then this is the game for you. 👎

My 7700k/GTX 1080 machine never drops below 30 fps at Medium with no resolution scaling and that's plenty good enough for me. Obviously there are some optimization problems going on, but I can't remotely feel sorry for you if you're mad that you can't get a playable framerate utterly maxed out at 8k when they said ahead of time it was gonna be a heavy game to run.

People complain that games are held back by consoles and low-end hardware but then throw a fit when a game actually makes their expensive machine work for it.

I dont get it...played great with my 4090...consistently 70fps+ in 4k....why the hell do you need 8k?

I don't plan on playing it but does the game even look that good to begin with? I've heard the NPCs all look ugly as sin.
