Also you can go to a pawn shop and see if they have PS4s. If they do ask them can I try it out, I’m looking for a certain firmware. The PS4s at pawn shop have a high chance to be below 5.05 because the PS4 may be sitting on the shelf for a while.

Hi, I just have one questions. Is it ok to connect to the internet but just stop the updates? Is that even possible? I want to connect to the internet in order to be able to serve videos from my computer via PMS or Plex. Also if Netflix is installed like in one of your video instructions, how is internet working? Do we still hit "connect to internet"? Just wondering how this would work. I am not at all interested in online play, so this works perfectly for me but I still need internet. Is this a possibility?

Couldn't you just swap out the hard drive and install 5.5 on it ?

EDIT: I asked a question about why I sometimes get the error of “format of the project file is not valid. (Element <scenarios_info> is missing)” when trying to build a pkg file of certain games like COD BO3, and a few others. Well, it turns out that you need to manually edit the GP4 file yourself using notepad replacing “userdefined1” and “userdefined2” with “sp” and “mp” respectively!
Then you should be able to create the Fake PKG file. I am testing this now, and I will let you know if this works. You can, (if you like), make a video about this so others know that are dumping their own games like I am, and they run into that error when trying to build the fake pkg file. :)
(I know this has NOTHING to do with the video, I just wanted to ask this channel as I know you have a lot of knowledge about PS4 stuff).
