Hi mate I have bmw x5 e53 my fob key not working to lock unlock I got new key from bmw so it not the key iv tried to do the thing were you put key in twist one click and press the buttons dint work iv checked the fuses fine It work on the button in the car I don't no what else it could be just wondering if you have any idea

why can you not delete the ews?

I have a 2007 x3..I have run all the BMW software diags from my laptop, everything checks out except, the immobilizer will not communicate. it says the immobilizer is bad? What to do? An immobilizer module is not even available anymore?

Hi there. I have an E46 320i and I had a big problem that took me a long time to figure out. I checked the battery, the starter and even replaced the ignition switch. No crank and no start. I discovered by accident that the fault was in the immobilizer. It had a broken capacitor. The repair cost €0.50 but took two years to discover. No need to replace the immobilizer. It was just repaired. To this day the car has never broken down again.

mate got a 2014 BMW 535d f10 DDE issue no start but no run. had countdown and I regened it twice replace the ad def control unit under car and now cannot regen anymore. car will turn over but will not run. something about the DDE control unit. any ideas?

I’m using an Autel MX808 and when I try selecting “EWS Vehicle immobilizer” it just tells me “tester not communicating with control unit.” Is my ews not working at all or do I need to be using a different scanner? It’s a 2000 323i

Hello, I have a '91 E31 850i. I pulled the engine harness last weekend so I could insulate the fuel rails and I kept the car outside in case of any gas spills. Well, over the period of several days I had car opened or locked, hood or trunk open, while locked, so I think I have messed up the immobilizer. I cannot seen to override this feature even following the owner's manual instructions. OBC is also looking for 'CODE ----' but I have no idea what number previous owner might have used. Had a similar problem, car starts drives, then when I come back to it it’s dead...! So I got out the car locked it with the key button and then opened it with just the key in the lock...the alarm went off so I pressed the key fob and then was able to switch the car back on 🤷🏻‍♂️ very strange

Take a breath😂😂😂😂😂😂😁👍, have got 2f44 code on a 2005 116 manual , after starter replaced for none crank , fault won't clear , car cranks over , tried to realign key with autoboss v30 , no communication? , But if I try key it's showing signal on both keys , number 2 and number 3 key , can get fuel pump to work off scanner to test , rev counter moves on cranking

Hey doc, I have the Autel MaxiMK808. Great tool, thanks for recommending! I’ve had a no crank no start since changing out my starter. The charging cable on it was not working (the starter was fine). I have a brand new Bosch starter on it now. Anyways, my EWS system has some fault codes for being under voltage And not being able to communicate with the computer, so I cleared the codes and made sure my battery was fully charged. My live data page looks the exact same as yours (should be no issues). It’s still a no crank no start. Any ideas on where to go after this?
