I had Crohns/Colitis for 20 years. bleeding all the time, 10 pills of Mesalamine per day. After I took the MRNA covid vaccine booster (3rd shot) my bleeding stopped and the pain, always present, in my abdomen went away. I stopped taking the pills just to see what would happen. I felt so much better and had energy again. it lasted for about 5 months then the pain returned. I got the 4th booster and i believe it seemed to ramp up my immune system. I am on my 8th covid shot. Just had a colonoscopy and the results were amazing. no sign of colitis or crohns. i have been pill and pain free for over 2 years now! though I am aware of heart issues with the shot and have my annual checkups, nothing so far. Discussing with the doctor other possible reasons there are none. i didnt change my diet, stop drinking or anything different before and after except the vaccine. I dont know if anyone else has had this experience. I did catch omicron 5 weeks after the 3rd booster. good luck to everyone with Crohns.

What people dont mention is how unaffordable chrohns infusions are, im scared to get treated despite having had to have a resection once because of it, or because if i have any lapse in converage and miss an infusion ill need to be put on something else anyway

When i went into the hospital i thought i had appendicitis

Worst part about Chrons disease is that it’s not observable like cancer or that well understood. So no one understand how truly hard it is to live ur life or do things the way others due. It’s actually hell

He’s still having bad days and on monthly infusions. I don’t feel like that’s a “cure”. It’s making him more responsive to the treatments that are out there. A cure would be no more expensive infusions every 4-8 weeks and the drug companies will never let that happen. If you’ve been really sick with Crohn’s it’s definitely an improvement though.

Every victim of this Crohn's disease has been asking the same question. Is there cure for Crohn's disease? And the answer is that no one knows for sure. Now I myself fortunately don't have that incurable illness but I have a friend of mine who unfortunately has it. He's had this illness since he was a teenager. And how did he get it? He got it from his grandfather. A couple of times when I was with him, his symptoms would get out of control and it would more unpleasant. And he would start crying nonstop. But as his friend, I encouraged him to stop crying and start being more positive. So I gave him a hug to assure him that everything will turn out well.
