Dubois didn't improve in the Joyce knee at all. At least he had a broken orbital v Joyce. Clarke is wrong there. Dubois quit and nobody is asking him or his coach why.

'A controversy generated for no reason' He is either stupid or a liar, the majority of fighters, trainers and fans have said it was a legitimate shot...people who have nothing to gain. Aside from the hair splitting, look anatomically where the punch lands...it is a body shot, a punch to the abdominal muscles at mid point. 2cm lower or higher is irrelevant, Usyk was KO'd by a body shot, he wasn't punched in the balls or the area just above that, nor the area just above that. Usyk kept complaining about legit shots. We have seen loads of clear low blows in boxing matches where the defending fighter clearly has been hit in an illegal area, this was not one of them.

he is talking crap, the punch was to mid-abs a clear body shot, it wasn't balls and wasn't in lower weak abs above that...A shot on the belt is usually tolerated by referees as it is borderline, the 'imaginary line between hips and navel' can only be indicated in reality by the waistband that covers it or a parallel area to it if they are too high...the size of a glove of course means something will protrude at moment of impact when the area is condensed. Usyk knows very well he was done by a body shot and it was all over his face, but referee gave him a way out and a lifeline. Even the rules of boxing says 'below the belt' The referees work and indicate off the belt. You can excuse the referee, as it was borderline and happens fast and was hidden and came from low with both fighter's arms obscuring it, but it was a legit body shot and not a low blow. Usyk is now contradicted himself in interviews saying "I would have got up if counted..." which exposes his lie about low blow...and he wouldn't have been able to get up in 9 seconds anyway, he is someone who can't take losing...it was an embarrassment for him in his home crowd on his national holiday with all the pro-Ukraine propaganda, but Ukraine is corrupt and they now unmasked themselves as cheating in boxing.

To barrys point about US fighters saying its a good shot cos its on the beltline. I think that speaks to a different boxing culture where US fighters and trainers have ALWAYs strayed closer to the line of illegal tactics in the ring and passed it off as ring crawft or ring generalship. You'll see excessive grappling and clinches in one round be called "generalship" or "great defence" when really its illegal. You will see a fighter duck below the waistline and pivot which is illegal and its called excellent head movement. Its just a difference in boxing culture.

Legal body shot. The groin guard can move with a powerful punch, like Daniel's, and when it moves it can pinch other body parts. Watch the BHOF referee who was interviewed by Marcos Vilagos.

What gets me is the amount of big talk Dubois and Don made before the fight and the kind of confidence they showed was ridiculous. Now what happened. He fought like a C level fighter and could not win a round. Why isn't Don Charles talking about that. Either his fighter is bullshit or his training is bad.

Despite all the controversy DD did a hell of a lot better than i expected. But he’ll never go life and death, that will always separate him from his peers at the top level. But his stock will rise from this.

It is not purely accidental because Dubois had several similar and even lower blows before and after this incident.

Okay... I'm glad there's a little bit of sanity on the internet. That was a LOW BLOW and not by a fraction. That was 6 inches below the navel. I'll never listen to anything Don Charles ever says again. The man is literally insane, for accusing Usyk of cheating.. Even if the low blow hadn't been low Usyk wouldn't have been a cheat. He didn't make any calls -- so Don Charles needs to shut his stupid, lying face.

Dubois fucked up by not keep throwing that shot due to the ammount of winging from the ukranian was doing which the ref agreed.

Dubois hasn't got predatory instinct, which results in him always choosing self preservation.

After Usyk was hurt in the 5th you could see at the restart of the round he had fire in his eyes and wanted to hurt Dubois. You can't train or teach that, you either have it or you don't.

Think its abit harsh saying he quit, he had nothing left really was going to get ko'd if he carried on, he couldn't win at that point in the fight, people who have never stepped in a ring or trained a combat sport have no idea how tough it is never mind up against a pound for pound great away from home

I think the ref was shit scared of doing a count because he wouldn't have got out of the arena alive. Also, if Dubois was warned a few times for low blows earlier, why wasn't a point deducted? The referee is at fault here!

What nobody is talking about is the ref could hardly speak a word of English and during the pre fight instructions of the footage I have seen I couldn't understand a word he was saying. So there shoud have been a fluent English speaking referee for this fight so that what he was communicating to the fighters was clearly understood.
