Im pretty sure repetition of checks is a stalemate, i've played with my grandpa and father. This is also the case with universal chess
ОтветитьSoliders = Pawns
Chariots = Rooks
Horses = Knights
Elephants = Bishops
Generals = Kings
So basically its exactly the same as english chess? (Please correct me if im wrong) You juist use a different set of pieces.
ОтветитьThank you admin for making a great video. Very easy to understand, hope you make more videos!
ОтветитьAh! Reminds me of the good ol’ days when I used to play this!
Ответитьyou need a video about Korean Janggi, it's got differently shaped and sized pieces, with varied rules (like no river)
Ответитьi am chinese so i know how play and
Ответитьwhich is better chinese chess or shogi(japanese chess)
ОтветитьPalace?
Why not call it commander's tend
as i imagine that kind of battle
Can you do one on Janggi (Korean Chess)?
ОтветитьTaking what makes chess good and then putting something that feels like it on top of regular chess is what's happening with national variants
Ответитьstal…e…mate?
ОтветитьI thought this board game it was Xiangqi (Chinese Chess)?
ОтветитьWe should have a game or 1/2 is Western chest the chest of that we know the black and white and the other half is Chinese chess pieces move and capture in the exactly the same way as they normally do!
East vs West! ♟️🉐
The cannon is my fav piece! Love setting up sneaky snipes with that thing.
There’s also a checkmate move that became (or derived from?) a saying: 馬後炮 (cannon behind the horse). It’s a checkmate move where the enemy general is stuck either getting taken by the horse or sniped by the cannon hidden behind it. As a saying, it’s the equivalent of “Monday morning quarterback”.
The cannon in fairy chess combines the powers of a queen, a knight, and a camel.
Ответитьcolour by choose
ОтветитьCan you please make a video on the korean chess ( janggi )
ОтветитьIs there promotion for soldiers once they reach the back rank?
Is there stalemate (one side has no legal moves)?
Can you offer a draw?
1. Pawns or soldiers are worth 1 point (2 points after crossing the river).
2. Elephant worth is 2 points
3. Advisors are worth 2 points
4. Knights or horses worth 4 points
5. Cannons are 4.5 points
6. Chariots are 9 points
8. Finally is the King which worths most and cannot aim the other King, just for sure
I am not trying to brag. actually, it is not bragging, because I should be much higher. But my chess rating in the USCF is 1592,, This game makes me feel like one of the people that believe two penguins actually walked all the way from Antarctica to the middle east JUST to get on the ark!!
ОтветитьFun fact: Chinese chess existed longer than chess
ОтветитьFun fact: Chiness chess was made before chess
ОтветитьYeah, I have played Chinese Checkers, this game seems fun, I love the mechanic of rivers in chess games too.
Ответитьi learned this before chess
ОтветитьVery informative, Thankyou. Now I’m off to play Chinese chess.
ОтветитьPai sho how to play
ОтветитьIf you don't understand chinese, then use traditional pieces instead.
Ответитьpao is very tricky
horsy was nerfed horsy can’t cross other pieces
COL thanks for teaching us
Ответить5d chinese sovereign faerie chessplus with multiverse time travel
ОтветитьYou forgot "The rules are the same as regular chess, except for these changes". LOL
Ответитьwhat kind of tea are they on
ОтветитьVietnamese people just like me also play Chinese chess🇻🇳🇨🇳
ОтветитьIsn't this xiangi
ОтветитьVideo proposal: Dark Chinese chess
It's like the 960 version of chinese chess.
there is another rule for the solider instead of forcing the solider to move diagonally or vertically after crossing the river some people (including my friends and I) have the solider move left, right, or forward
ОтветитьSo basically
General:king
Horse:knight
Elephant:bishop
Chariot:rook
Canon:queen
Soldier:pawn
Guard:🗿
象棋
ОтветитьVery interesting
Ответить象棋
ОтветитьHonestly I feel like making perpetual check illegal kind of takes away from the chess mood. Western chess considers such a situation a draw as neither side can make progress, and that rule is good since it forces the winning side to stay alert and gives the losing side a chance to at least draw the game. Perhaps the movements of the general and advisor may have resulted in the exploitation of such a rule in the past; I don't know as I haven't played the game enough times, but yeah, those are my thoughts on it.
ОтветитьWhat if they have flying general in modern chess?
ОтветитьFinally now I realize that the Horse/Knight in Chinese chess doesn't move in an L but rather in a half Y
ОтветитьI dont ever having announce checkmate I thought it was an online thing
ОтветитьRed always starts in chiense chess
ОтветитьHas anyone come to challenge me?
ОтветитьThat’s word, not symbol
ОтветитьThe piece "elephant" should not be called as an elephant, instead, it is similar to a prime minister, which is a human, according to the Chinese word 相
