Quads by the river with pocket pair is 2% chance? I think that should be 0.8%

very hard beat: quads lose to higher quads.
"I'm gonna retire!" beat: Quad Aces lose to straight/royal flush.

To bad there isn't some huge bad bead side pot for something like this. Even $10 per person would be a big payout.

If he thinks it through, then it is a fold. No way does villain push all in with a naked 6. You have both 4s which block bluff combo's that want to represent quads. I know it is mad but what else does villain push all in with?

I hate how long players take to act these days when watching Live poker. The guy commits over half his stack as a check raise and you then take what looks like an age to put him in. This isn't even a truly bad example either. Go back even 10 years and things weren't as bad as they are now.

If you want to be really cool and socially accepted by everyone, don't say "four of a kind", say "quads". It's a fact!

I lost quads over quads once. 8s over 2s flop was 882 with a flush draw, everyone flats an assumed flush draw bet on the flop, 4 to the turn, turn 2, checked all around, flop 8s makes a value bet of half pot, I go all in for 2x the pot, snap call, I lose $400. It would be a punch to the gut if this happened in a tournament though.

I lost with a straight flush to another straight flush. 45c vs 2h9c had the flush on turn bet 75 into a $100 pot (low stakes home game) he calls and we both hit it on the turn his higher. And this hand is 150x sicker.

Would have been great to see the whole hand. How did Liu play the quads after the flop? That is an awful spot to be in. Too aggressive and you get folds, not aggressive enough and the boat comes into port and picks up the worst card in the deck on the turn.

You can’t tell me they are properly shuffling the cards when that crap happens. I see those kinds of hands at poker rooms where they have a rake. The faster they shuffle(or don’t shuffle) the more hands can be dealt and more rake. I’ve told the pit boss that if they didn’t start shuffling the cards that I would start stalling during hands and slow that rake down. He said he didn’t like that and I said I didn’t like pairs being flopped 5 and 6 hands in a row when it’s a 16% chance of happening and it happens 7 times in a row. He said if I intentionally slowed play I would be asked to leave the table. I said for them to start shuffling the cards better or I would.
