I have the deluxe model and it's awesome. The auto starter is so handy. The work surface is great, spacious, and so convenient. I've really enjoyed using this kettle. I've smoked on it and grilled. Works great.

The master touch is a wonderful grill. The wheels present a hazard if you attempt to move when using. It will roll out from under you. The cart is the only version they should sell.

Weber upgrade your game- I just bought my first Weber at Walmart for 99. Is was both great and disappointing. I enjoyed my cooking experience but noticed some amazing things. This dents easily. Lid will not set firmly on . Seems slightly small. Whoever made that heavy duty version I will be all in it has to be really heavy duty.

I just recieved my Weber 22 in. Performer Deluxe Charcoal Grill in Green about an hour ago. I put it together but, what's that long chain that hangs from the inside for? Thanks

Your channel is awesome! Thank you for being concise and informative!

I just got a performer with the gas assist. If you have a moment, I was hoping to get your take on leaving it uncovered during the warm months.

Great video! I was looking at the Master Touch cause I liked the height increase over the original. Good to know this is even taller!

“This table makes it all worth it”
“I got this for a third of the normal price”
Yeah it’s worth it for that for sure lol

I kinda miss the plastic table. After having 2 performers with the metal tables, within 2 years of purchasing, both of them started bubbling the coating off, and then the rust came. One was covered under a carport, the other was not covered under carport. They both had the same problem.

The thinner grill only come on the cheapest one. All other have the thicker grills. And a replacement thicker one only cost like $25...but myself don't like the center piece falling out.

Great review - thank you for emphasizing the height difference, which can seem like a small thing but isn't. I'm going to add my two cents on the optional touch n' go propane ignition system. I have it, and so do two of my neighbors. We all regret buying it. The long flame tube is exposed to the heat and drippings during cooking, and corrodes horribly after just a few months. All of ours have stopped working. It's really just a complex failure point. Worse, the ignition button for the system is so flimsily mounted that all of ours broke within the first few uses just from the pressure of pushing the button! Replacing any of the components seems pointless, since the design is so bad they will fail shortly. The sad part is that the theory behind the system is good, but the components they used are terrible.

Any of the webers are good. Their best value one for most will be the 47cm Compact. Still a family sized one but for the money is a bargain. Not so much the higher end models. For those wanting bigger, the 57cm is fine and cheaper to but than the all singing dancing ones. Just buy meat thermometers and add a deeper ash collection tray and you can still use the optional griddles etc without the price tag of the premium models. Lots if the features on the expensive ones are more gimmicky than essential anyway. A steak won’t care which model it’s grilled on😊

Love my performer deluxe, but man that grill grate is not good. The thick bars are nice, but I had the same feelings you do about the center falling out whenever moving it around. Plus, by around the 3 year mark it was over 70% covered in rust. Whatever they plate it with just doesn't last. I'm a big proponent of getting an aftermarket fully 304 stainless steel grate as a lifetime replacement.

The gas assist is the best, I got lucky and trash picked a fully working deluxe version and it gets the coals hot so much better then the cubes and tumble weeds

Love my performer deluxe, found it on the side of the road used for free. Needed some love but I have maybe $150 into it. Wouldn't trade it for anything except a weber s7 kamado lol.

I was new to cooking on a Weber kettle so I opted for the Master Touch. Now that I’ve been cooking on the kettle…I wish I had just gone with the performer with the big table.

Absolutely love my performer with fold down table. Got it on marketplace used for $100. Lots of elbow grease later and it looked brand new. Best grill I own, and I own many. So versatile!

Good review on the Performer. I own several Webers and the Performer is my go to. A couple of points I would add are stability (it doesn’t wobble when you scrape the grate) and Rollability (very easy to move and your work surface comes right along). It’s nice to have a surface where you can wrap you ribs right away.

Great review. I am still using the Weber original kettle(s). I do like the table on the performer. I just wish some body could convince Weber to move the thermometer beside the vent for indirect cooking. Thanks for the video!

Love my performer, this fall bought a hard top gazebo to replace that umbrella,🤐 so able to "perform" undercover year round!! Although it has been unusually cold this winter here in the Ottawa Valley, warming up today from -20c to -3c , so it's time for a steak!!

I have a much older version with the plastic table top which has held up very well for many years but having it in metal would be a real convenience.
