C1 Hu Tao: Jump Cancel Vs No Cancel (Genshin Impact)

Keep in mind, this test does not factor in the time you spend repositioning after a normal charge attack, so jump cancel is more beneficial for quickly doing subsequent charge attacks.

if u have c1, i STRONGLY recommend doing none of these and instead do dash cancelling. its so much better and feels more fluent and easier to do

I would use jump cancel because I don’t want to walk all the way back to the enemy after charge attacking :’)

-might lose focus
-higher chance to get hit
-can get very tired
pros:
-deal more damage
-slightly lose less stamina
without jump cancel:
cons:
-lose more stamina
-deal slightly less damage
pros:
-might help when the enemy is about to attack you as soon as you use charged attack
-probably get to reach and hit enemies that are kinda far

I have a question which I ask but no one ever answers ;-;. Does hu tao normal or charged attack have auto aim or do we need to aim it ourselves?

Since Hu Tao can phase through enemies when dashing, I position myself to hit more enemies when I dash cancel.

I mostly use jump cancel, so I dont skip so far ahead of the enemy. If you do a full dash it gets quite far from your original target which is annoying.

In your own opinion would you say C1 is worth it? I'm like 68 rolls in after getting her and I believe I could get another 5 Star right before the banner ends but I'm not sure yet.

good to know I just assumed jump cancelling was best: it’s definitely a situational thing whether you want to jump cancel or normal charge attack.

What about vs running?
