Intersect operator in sql server

This is not a good example for a inner join because table B does not have a record whose Id is 1. What if table B has a record whose Id is 1 and the Name and Gender are different from the Name and Gender of table A?

for the example we use intersect and we select id, first_name, last_name from table 1 and table 2. Then if on table A the data is just have same id and first_name with table 2 (last_name not have same data to data 2), is the result is show all the data or maybe the result haven't result?. Is intersect only work when the data have EXACT / SAME data between 2 table? *pardon my English, but I hope whoever reads this understands what I mean. Thank you!
